    Default Troublesome Airtel Postpaid

    Hi,

    It's really troublesome to have Airtel postpaid. I took the connection on 2nd Dec from Airtel Narayanaguda, hyderabad center. Initially they gave me a number with the confirmation that it will be active by end of the day, which didn't got activated. During this time I can't call there 121 or 198 service. So, I waited for next day and on 3rd Dec I got a call from the Airtel Narayanaguda, hyderabad center stating the number is use and need to be changed. I waited for it to get activated on 4th and 5th Dec when I made a call again to Airtel Narayanaguda, hyderabad center about the number not activated issue. They had a discussion among themselves and finally on 6th Dec they again gave me a new number and it was activated on the same day EOD. They change my mobile number 4 times before I had a working number, which is 9652883355 on 6th Dec'11.

    On 2nd Dec'11 I also submitted all my papers as requested which included my Driving license, PAN card and other papers they asked me to sign on.

    Now, I had the first case of my mobile barring on 9th Dec'11. I had to spend my money to call up there executives, make them understand, had a talk with Airtel NArayanguda center and all and finally they unbarred my number.

    On 21st Dec'11 again my mobile was barred and when I during that time 121 and 198 doesn't work. With a friends help I spoke to Airtel representative and he confirmed that all documents recieved and it was a accidental case of barring and my number was unbarred. the Airtel representative confirmed the issue won't happen in future. Same time I dropped an email to there Nodal officer and on 24th I got a call from him when we spoke and finally he sending the following note as a response to to my email:

    Dear Mr. Bhaskar,
    Thank you for writing to airtel.
    This has reference to your e-mail regarding disconnection of services for your airtel Postpaid mobile number 9652883355.
    We completely comprehend your viewpoint and sincerely apologize for any difficulty caused to you by our Customer service department.
    We take pride in enhancing our customers with our responsive and friendly approach. It has always been our constant endeavor to ensure, that our customers are delighted by our inimitable approach.
    We would like to inform you that your airtel number 9652883355 has been activated effective from 21/12/2011.
    Please feel free to speak to our call center executive on 121 regarding any query/ request and 198 (Toll Free) for any complaints. You can also email us at 121@in.airtel.com.
    You can get in touch with the Nodal Officer with your earlier request or complaint number if it's still unresolved. You may send an email at nodalofficer.andhra@airtel.in or you may call at 9959334865 from 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM Monday to Friday. The Nodal officer will provide a resolution to your complaint in 10 days.
    If you do not receive a satisfactory response from Nodal officer you may send an email at appellate.andhra@airtel.in or you may call at 9959444865 from 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM Monday to Friday.

    Now, again my number has been barred and on 6th Jan'12 without any intimation even after paying the last months bill amount. I have been following up on this from that time, made multiple calls to there nodal office, have been following up daily but no response.

    Can someone please help?

    I got the following response as of I said about this issue to Airtel nodal officer:

    He himself doesn't know what he need to do. Plus there is no sync between nodal officers and the backend guys.

    Did anyone here got benefitted by these Nodal officers and Appeleates ever? I think they are not needed and just waste of time for us and the Serivice Providers.

    BTW, after a long fight the Airtel customer guy came home and took the documents again from me. He said the mobile will be activated tomorrow. Fingers crossed - It's hell going through all this.
