Overcharged for 3 G connection by Vodafone

    Default Overcharged for 3 G connection by Vodafone

    I purchased a 3G connection along with a data card (9873584796) from vodafone. The plan offered was Rs 500 per month for unlimited internet usage/download. After 1 month the services were disconnected abruptly citing that it was just a promotional offer (which was not told when i had bought the connection). I had bought the data card/plan due to these low rentals.Then Vodafone came up with new plans which were far expensive than the previous ones. However as I had already paid Rs 2300/- for the data stick (non refundable) i bought another 3G plan @Rs 850/pm for 3GB usage. I used the plan for 3 months and was billed approximately Rs 950/- per month (including taxes) for the usage. Upon reaching the credit/usage limit, the connection was disconnected for the month.
    However for the period 24/07/2011 to 23/8/2011 I was charged a bill of amount INR 27500/-. (approximately 30 times my bill).
    When I tried to contact the company I was told that the bill was due to increased usage. The usage was beyond my credit limit but neither the connection was disconnected nor I was intimated about it when I breached my credit limit.
    I tried to reason with their customer care executives and nodal officer but nothing has come out of it.
    I am been harassed by the company for payment of these undue exorbitant charges. They are constantly harassing me on my phone and even visiting my office.
    Pls help.

    Upon posting of the complaint in this forum, I received a call from Vodafone and was told that there has been some issue and the matter will be closed in 45 days. but now again i have started getting calls and messages from vodafone about paying the dues.


    I have been again constantly harassed by the company’s call center employees for the last 4-5 months. Two days earlier I was threatened if i dont pay the amount in a day's time, the services of another mobile connection on my name will be stopped. (I have been regular in the payment of bill of that mobile no for the last 1 year). That is no professionalism. I can’t believe that today they have barred my other phone no. and also my phone no.(I have paid all the bills for both the no. as mentioned above). This is quite frustrating, as the harassment is increasing each passing day.

    Please help.
