    Default Case against Vodafone for fradulent SIM activation

    I have been using this vodafone Post paid number: 9884316444 for past 4 years and used to pay an average bill amount of Rs.1300 for past 3 months.
    Due to more usuage and also based upon my need, i have planned to change the CUG plan for existing number and in order to do so, I have to do
    name transfer as this number was under my friend's name.

    I have given the request of name transfer and CUG plan change to Vodafone Store at Chrompet, Chennai. The persons who are working in this store
    provided me a fradulent information and no proper response from most of them. I have been following up with them for around 10 days but everytime
    the service and the way they deal with the customer was highly untolerable. Some of the person names who has got vey bad attitude and not able to provide good service to the customer are

    After this incident, vodafone sales person named SARAVANAN came to my office and given a false promise that he will do name transfer and provided me a new SIM for CUG plan change. I trusted the Vodafone brand and given all the needed documents for name transfer to the sales person.
    The Sales person promised that he will do name transfer for exisiting number and provide me a new SIM for CUG connection and promised that he will activate both the number at the same time after doing the name transfer for the existing number.

    He cleverly cheated me by activating the new SIM but failed to do name transfer for exisiting number. He used the documents given for name transfer to activate the new SIM. I have been following up with this person for one month but everything went in vain as there was no proper response from him.

    I have lodged a complaint in Vodafone store for this fradulent case done by Vodafone sales person: SARAVANAN. Please see below details:

    I have all the proofs related to it and also the apologize SMS from Sales person for not doing name transfer. Due to this, i incurred a loss amount of Rs. 4000 as i have to pay the vodafone bill for 2 months. If my request would have been done, I would have paid Rs.500 only.

    Further, I went to different Vodafone store, Porur, Chennai where i have narrated all the incidents and given the request again for name transfer. Again they
    gave a fradulent promise and made me to pay the billed and unbilled amount to do name transfer.

    Its been around a week time, the exisiting number has been suspended and not been activated.

    Due to sales person fradulent case, new vodafone number has been activated which forced me to use and pay the bill amount for new number too.This is the height of patience one can remain after undergoing all the mental pressure for past 3 months and also incurred a loss amount of Rs.4000.

    This is really disgusting as there is no action taken for any of the complaints lodged against these people. Also, this is one of the worst service provided by Vodafone and this caused me a unnecessary mental pressure and hugh loss due to this.

    I am gonna file a case under section 12 of the Consumer Protection Act, 1986 against Vodafone on account of mental tension, fradulent promise, unauthorized SIM activation and loss of money.

    Kindly act on this case at the earliest and do the needful. In short course of time, I will provide the Case documents filed against Vodafone.

    Default Compensation for loss incurred

    Dear Sir/Madam,

    Recently, I got a call from Vodafone Chennai Head office and they promised me that the name transfer will be done and SIM will be activated immediately. But to continue using Vodafone network, i need a compensation to withdraw the case against vodafone.

    This issue is going on for last 2 months and since they have not done name transfer and CUG plan change, it made me to forcibly pay the bill amount of around Rs.3500 for last 2 months. Also, they activated new SIM connection without doing name transfer for the existing number: 9884316444.

    Due to activation of new SIM, it made me to pay the bill amount and there was no use in getting new connection with CUG as the existing number was not in same CUG plan and name transfer also did nt happen.

    If everything had happened smoothly, I would have paid only Rs. 600 for last 2 months (including new SIM connection).

    Based on the compensation on the billing amount for past 2 months, I will decide whether to continue the Vodafone network or not. I have been using this number for past 4 years and now i have opted for one additional connection too.

    Its a completely your mistake due to which i have undergone mental pressure, loss of money in paying the unwanted bill amount, wastage of time in following up with cusomer care poeple and incured other losses too.

    If you feel that am valuable customer and want to extend the vodafone connection throughout my life, its purely based upon the compensation which you gonna offer me for the losses incurred due to this issue.
