I owned airtel landline number 0522-4008289 for which i had applied for disconnection after clearing all dues on 9th sep 2011.
After the application several executives kept on calling to offer non disconnection or inquiring reasons for disconnection. Finally one day 1 executive said that the number could be put on hold and I will not be charged rent for that month and could be shifted to some other location of my choice, since the new location did not have provisioning of shifting then. After 1 month some other executive confirmed that it is not possible to shift there so it will be disconnected.
But since that day i have been getting SMS from server which can not be replied back to clear the rent for that month and calls from various offices of Airtel whome I have been explaing my case directly every time.
Today i received a call from the rudest executive i ever heard saying that either I clear it immediately of better be prepared for legal action.
I do have the mail which i had send on 9th to Airtel stating I have cleared the bill and want my number to be disconnected.
How can consumer court help me?
