Hi,
This is to bring into notice that the requests sent to 1909 short code to register or de-register from DND isn't working properly.
My vodafone number 4 moths back automatically got registered to DND (do not disturb), where i never opted in for one. I came to know about the same only when i stopped receiving the commercial SMS. Had Launched complaints to Vodafone, but they are unable to send complaint or request number. An customer care executive from vodafone said, all the post-paid numbers were changed to DND number by default, where i came to know only when i called up for complaint query. This is really unfair in vodafone or TRAI to convert any personal mobile number without the knowledge of the customer who uses it, where i pay my monthly bills and the number is mine for the past 5years.
Also when ever i set preference to 0 for de-registering, it never worked. Today i have set preference STOP 0 to 1909, got acknowledgement from TRAI and vodafone, Now let me wait for 7 days and blog you again on the same.
Or any respective personnel can intervene for solving this issue.
