To convert my pre-paid connection to post-paid plan I submitted the Subscriber Enrollment Form(SEF) and all the documents requested by Airtel representative Mr. Ajit Shinde(9890348503) on 22nd Nov 2011 and got a new post-paid sim card from him. He said it should get activated within 1 week with the same mobile no. as my pre-paid connection was having then. After more than a week when I found that post-paid sim is not yet activated, I followed up with Ajit multiple times and he casually assured it will get activated without even checking the actual status of the conversion request.
After 2 weeks of submitting all the documents, (and my my pre-paid connection completely de-activated for 2 days), when enquired about this in ARC(Airtel Relationship Centre) yesterday, I was shocked to know that my documentation is not complete. After calling Ajit, he still said it would get activated just reboot your phone and did not provide any substantial explanation of what went wrong with the documentation. When called again and again yesterday, he seemed avoiding my calls, did not respond well when received call and told me to file a complaint in Airtel against him and he is fine with it.
Due to issue in documentation for more than 2 weeks, my sim went into “Suspended” state(source to know this – Aundh-ARC visit today) and I had to once again follow the complete procedure submitting SEF and all the required documents at the ARC to activate my post paid connection with same mobile number.
This required me to spend my couple of office hours and my phone was in non-working state for 2 days .
I would like Airtel to go into the details of this matter and take suitable action against Mr. Ajit Shinde for his careless and casual approach towards the entire process.
