    Default Tata Docomo Prevents MNP to other service provider

    I have a Tata Docomo post paid connection. No. 8097085751. I had been experiencing severe problems during roaming and hence decided to change the service provider. Though the UPC was generated and registered on 22.10.2011, nothing happened within the statutory period except receiving 2 calls from their executives, who offered freebies to stay with them, but I refused and requested to complete the process within the time. Since there was no porting instructions received, I learnt from MTNL that Tata Docomo had not done anything about the request. I lodged complaint with complaint No. 380857 on 10.11.2011 to which they sent autogenerated reply seeking 24 hours to resolve the issue. Disgustingly, even after 5 days, 120 hrs, there has not even been any response from their side till now. Mails sent to their mail ids, tatadocomo-cts@tatadocomo.com and listen@tatadocomo.com got bounced. So yesterday, 14.11.2011, I lodged a fresh complaint, for which also the same auto-generated reply was received and nothing else.

    Can anyone tell what can I do under the circumstances to bring them to comply with the statutory regulations and stop defeating the very purpose of introducing MNP for the benefit of the customers who are being harassed by such unscrupulous service providers?

    The further pity is that this is a company that claims to belong to Tata Group which is known for integrity in their business dealings and for compliance with the Rules and Regulations applicable to the field. Or have they also joined the others in the field in their activities, I wonder.

    Dear Sir,

    When I have applied for MNP from your service to MTNL and you have not done anything about it, what do you intend to convey by the above post. What I want is to get ported out from your lousy service and nothing else. If you can do that, it would be the last I want to hear from you and nothing else.
