Regarding Sony Ericsson Mobile Model No:
W580i


I purchased a new Sony Ericsson Mobile set having model no. w580i
in jan 2010 and in july I found that my mobile set is showing some software problems and one day the phone was dead.

I gave it to sony service centre(numeric communication services) in bangalore.They told me that the phone's imei number was not valid and was from another country.They told me that they would charge me for servicing my phone.

But after an heated argument they agreed to service it for free....and i got my phone back 2 days later.But after a week the same problem started and i gave it back to them 2 service it.But they rejected this time telling again and again that imei number is not valid and told me to contact the dealer from whom i purchased the phone.....

But when i went there he told he had purchased it from sony distributors only and when i ordered for a replacement ...,they told the W580i handset is not available and hence told me that they cant do anything....and when i told them to give a model of same cost ....,they told me to get a DOE letter from service centre.

They told me 2 come back after a week to collect the phone...and when i went there the next week they told they had given the phone to service centre in Rajajinagar-bangalore.They(selling dealer) told dat there was a problem with the motherboard and had given it to service centre to get it replaced....But i think i am being cheated by the dealer only.....I dont want any chip replacements.....all i want is handset replacement....please look into the matter as earliest as possible....


Now I would request before your good self to please help me out from this matter.
