Spice Telecom, a leading cellular operator in Punjab, Friday announced the launch of songs as ring tones for its subscribers.

Launching the service, Spice head Navin Kaul said songs or music chosen by the subscribers would be played to a person calling them instead of the usual ring tones available on mobile phones.

"The idea is to make mobile telephony a personalised experience," Kaul said.

Veejay Ramona was present on the occasion.

Songs and music would be available from the category of chartbusters, Punjabi pop, Bollywood songs, remixes, English songs, devotional tunes and "Spice sizzlers".
