    Unhappy Airtel pre-paid recharge problems

    Extremely disappointed with Airtel for keeping the recharge money but not doing the recharge! Here are two complaints.


    Problem1: I attempted recharge online thru icicibank for Rs 399 for mobile no. 9890463866. Money was debited from my icici bank account but no recharge was
    done. We received following message on my mobile.


    "Recharge successful for Rs 399.00. Talktime Credited: Rs 0.00, Processing Fee: Rs 355.11, Service Tax: Rs. 43.89 "


    Other details are as following.


    Bank transaction id: BIL/416924646/0118/919890463866/91989
    Date/Time of recharge: 15-mar-2013 / 12:03 PM
    Alternate number: 9975667642
    site Name: icicibank.com


    Airtel 121 email is deceptive and works like a scam. 1st they ask you any 2 informations even if it is already mentioned in the email. Then when you reply it conveniently goes into error loop saying we cant help u since your mobile/phone no. is not in correct format. Despite sending the phone no. in various ways it keeps getting that auto-mailer.


    To escalate the issue, I went to give online feedback but it went into error saying not authorised.


    In short, my Rs 399 are still hidden with Airtel ... Lets see if i can get refund by this complaint here.


    Problem2.


    This happened for another phone of mine 9975667642.


    To avoid any problems due to bank site recharge this time I charged from airtel's own website. Rs 300 were debited from my credit card and I received following email

    But i have received no sms or balance on my phone. And as usual 121 email went into an error loop.


    Today when i tried 121 paid help then after some sugary talk i was told "hamare pass iski jaankari nahin hai" and I am transferring you to a senior person then it went it into music and terminated after some time.


    While I was recovering from this cust. svc., I recvd a sms informing me that I have been successfully started on LiveArti service and Rs 3 has been deducted as daily charge. This when I had never asked OR discussed about getting this service. Within no time I tried unsubcribe which worked despite giving some weird mesg saying u r not registered with NDNC (whats that?) .. however soon I noticed that I have been successfully robbed of abt 10 rs and my balance is now rs 8 (from rs 18). This daylight robbery happened

    Problem 3

    Since there are so many instances of airtel pushing unsolicited services and brazenly charging customers, Is there a way to find the transaction details so that one can see how the balance was reduced?


    Pls. refund the Rs 399 for Problem1, Rs. 300 for Problem2 and also find out how and why unasked service was charged especially when customer was already calling airtel for complaints!

    Recharfe of amount 330.00 is done online on mobile no. 8146398024 through net banking with successful remark having transaction reference number 0460025605 (ICICI). however recharged amount is not received. When tried to talk customer care executive they are not in contact.
    Kindly do the needful. Let's see if u can find out the recharged amount.

    Thumbs down Prepaid Promotional offers is disturbing

    I had recharged my Prepaid number with 1GB, 2G data pack as per the below mentioned transaction

    I have been using the 1GB, 2G data pack for more than two years now, and had never required more than 1GB data for a month.(I understand my data usage need)
    It was all working fine until I received a promotional on 15th November 2013.
    It said, that a DATA PACK TO ACCESS FB HAS BEEN ENABLED, (I never asked for any offer) which was valid for three days.
    I did not concentrate much on the message, as I already had my monthly internet data plan in place.
    In these three days, whenever I tried accessing any weblinks, You tube from FB, it gave me a pop up, "Extra data charges will be incured for the usage".
    This sounded wierd, and I immediately tried accessing the weblinks and You tube, checking the MAIN ACCOUNT BALANCE, which was around 106 rupees then.
    As there was no remarkable change in balance, I ignored it, assuming, my MONTHLY DATA PLAN is in place and that would continue once this offer expires.

    Problem arrived, when i realised that, the OFFER is expired and my DATA PLAN showed the LIMIT to be "0".(Offer should have got expired on 17th November 2013)
    I realised this, after losing my 100 rupees from the MAIN ACCOUNT BALANCE (on 18th November late night).
    I immediately called the Customer care who was incompetent to listen to the issue, empathise, or clarify but hung the call without even trying to understand what my actal issue is.

    I am emailing the issue summary to airtelpresence@in.airtel.com
    Please check and get it rectified, reimbursing or refunding me the amount incured on the data charges, from December 18, 2013, 12:00 AM.
    I would also request for a customer confirmation received before activating such offers, which would save lot of trouble and stress.
