The complain is similiar as posted by 9960838164 here.

I use airtell mobile office of gprs only but do not use airtell live as airtell live is chargeable. Also i do not do outgoing calls from that no. More than 1-2 per month.
Suddenly 01 dec 09 i received one sms that i have been charged with 50/- for downloading java games. I immediately complained. After rigously complaqining and after use of harsh language they promised that 50/- will be refunded. Also i told specifically that i do not require any service except mobile office & incoming/out going call. Rest all deactivate.

Then on 09 dec i received one sms that 99/- deducted for downloading "indo-pak criket 2007". See the year is 2007. Is it not laughing? I immediately called up customer care & they told no such charges. I did not have the time to follow up my balance or take up the case.
Today (12 dec 09) when i want to call, my call was rejected due to insufficient balance. Then i checked the balance & found it is 1 rupee 44 paisa only.
I immediately called customer case, the lady picked up she was interested to know the details from me first but i asked tell me all charges from 01 dec to till date. Then she told i was charged rs. 50 for downloading "derby champ" and rs. 75 for downloading "garfield train your brain". I told i have not done this. The executive then decliened it can not be. Then i cross questioned the executive as per u my initial balance was 180 then charges 99 +50 +75 = 224. That means my balance is negative. U do not allow to client to make call if balance is not there how it can be negative? Then she told the 50/- is actually 5/-. Now i told i have not received any sms for charge deduction 0f the "derby champ" and "garfield train your brain". Now i am convinced it was done deliberately by airtell to wipe out the prepaid balance.
Then i was connected to mr. Yogesh, senior officer accounts. He flatly denied. He told sms was sent and i have deleted. I was just shocked by the naked act of airtell. I told whatever u are telling if u do not agree take my complaint & give me the complaint no. He told everything is in front of me i will not give u complaint no. Then i told it is mandatory to issue complain no as per trai. He told where u go, record my wordings i will not give complain no. Mai hat jodta hu. Aupko pasand hai to rechange kijiye nehi to mat use kijiye. Also to note i used to received lot of sms for egames which i always carefully omit as the message is designed in such a way if u click twice it hyperlink will get it through (as i am aware of computer so i know & i remain careful while a layman will certainly do a mistake). Then i asked one of my friend who uses normal handset that do u receive airtell promo message & also games message tgh sms. He told i get promo but not for game. Now see the airtell money dacoiting technique, they will sort out nokia sets with advance feature & start sending message which are chargeable.
Airtell have refunded the java games initial 50/- charge to me but they follow on charge deduction is in on.

2. Also u call a person from ur airtell no. To other no. The person you are calling disconnected the phone but if u do not press button the call charges will continue. The same thing in reliance i had never experienced. I have used outgoing call in reliance more than 2 lakh in last 6 years but not a single instance.

3. In airtell u call to some one but the call do not connect & u listen ur voice in return. U will find call charges is applied.

We all in the forum must get all people together & present a case to trai to curbe the hyper activeness of airtell. In insurance client get a chance to deactivate his policy within 15 days in case of wrong doings. Here also client consent is to be made mandatory for any chargeable service. U ask for any thing to airtell they will tell within 24/48/72 hrs it will be activated/deactivated. The sameway client must have some option to get caution sms u have asked for such and such send sms "activate" to xxx for activate the service or send sms "cancell" to cancell the service request. It will eliminate 99% chance of wrong charge except those who will type & send message without understanding the meaning. Obviously airtell can do this as to activate gprs the same way sms has to be sent by customer. But it will bring down airtell revenue drastically as earning from such malpractice is more than proving basic calling service.

Also pls help me with trai details where i can show them physically the design to airtell sms which is saved in my nokia handset. I am ready to spend any amount to put up all the airtell malpractice in person.

My airtel no.is 9994085464 my balance of rs.121 was deducted for no reason by airtel on 10th march since that day i have been calling but i am not getting proper answers...i am in great tense...airtel r cheating people...when i kept calling they r now telling me that u could hyave used gprs service....in fact i have not used gprs that day even then my balance was deducted without giving me intimation or sms......this is not fair.....they r cuuting the balance which i have not used.....when they have no proper answere they tell that u have used so and so service.........what should i do
