    Default Airtel Network problem not solved

    Hi,

    I am using airtel number and I have been facing lot of call drops/network problems. I started making complaints to customer care department about this since may 2009 and till now i have made lots of complaint and everytime they say they will revert back and will solve the problem. But there was no solution given to me. I also complaint to their nodal and appeliate officers and here are some of the reference numbers for it
    22375085
    22315609
    948618438
    22375008
    nodal officer - 951594639 complaint number
    appeliate - officer 951967087 complaint number
    appeliate - officer- 952446601 complaint number.

    These compaint numbers are some of the complaint ref number since may. The complaints which i put in may and june i have with me.After making complaint to appeliate officer, i told them clearly i have already made payments in between but airtel had still not resolved my problem and now i am not going to make any payment till the time you solve the problem for me. The airtel customer care people kept on giving me assurance that it will be resolved but this doesnot happened and the bill got accumulated. I finally asked them to put my number under safe custody and stop billing for it and told them i will not pay till you resolve it. the appeliate officer agreed for the same. Also when the appeliate officer has agreed to keep the number in safe custody for 3 months without paying the bill till the time problem is resolved then why the airtel have sent me the intimation letter for paying outstanding due amount.

    Please help/suggest me for the same.

    Dear Guest,

    If you are not getting any help from the Nodal Officer or Appellate Authority, kindly forward your complaint to the DOT ( Department of Telecommunications) with copies of all correspondence made with the Nodal officer and Appellate Authority of the Co. The address:
    The Director,
    Public Grievances Cell, Deptt. Of Telecom,
    Room No.518,Sanchar Bhawan,
    20, Ashoka Road, New Delhi 110001.

    Hi,

    I talked to appeliate officer again but they are only insisting on making the outstanding amount whether the problem is get resolve or not. They are saying you have to make payment for the services which you have used. I told them that is fine but why should customer pay for those call which get drop and customer is not able to use that call for full duration. They have also sent a person at my home to collect the payment.

    Please suggest.

    I have the complaint numbers and the email that i sent to airtel appeliate and nodal officers. Would that be enough to mention in the letter?

    Also, definately sending the letter would take its own time, kindly suggest what should i tell to airtel or their representative if they come to collect the amount, because they have already sent a guy once at my home.

    Dear Mr. Arun,

    The emails sent to nodal officer and appellate authority are sufficient to approach DOT.

    With your post you haven't provided us the details of the dues on your account. If you have taken the services of the Co., you must pay for that, except any disputed amount. Secondly, don't open the way to the telecom company to prove you defaulter.

    Thanks, for prompt reply.

    My outstanding due amount is 8500.

    The problem is i am ready to pay for the service which i have used , but why should customer pay for those call which are dropped oftenly and even after repeated complaints no waiver is given for those calls. That is the only concern i am having and asking airtel to either solve call drop problem for me or give me waiver for that, but they are not ready for that.

    I hope i have made my concern understand to you. Please suggest if i am right else i have no problem in paying dues.

    Default Airtel service is pathetic

    I have a airtel cell phone in pune with a add on number.
    I needed to cancel my add on number due to network issues. 6 months I have been waiting to resolve the network issue with no success and eventually I needed to cancel my add on. my primary number is important to me that is why I am still with that number.

    I requested for cancellation of my add on number at aditya agency on kondhwa road.
    since 3 months no action have been taken. I have paid rental for my addon with 0 usage since last 3 months. Airtel relationship centre are not relation ship centre they are just collection centre.

    Pls. provide us your complete address, so according to which we can provide you the contact details of Telecom Company's Executive for your area, who is dealing with such kinds of complaints.

    Very poor network in my area { airtel network is very poor in my area)

    no signal area : 1. Maroda sector

    { its big area no airtel signal}

    Default Wrong billing by Airtel

    Dear Sir,

    Airetl Landline Number 080 41604145

    I have Airtel Broadband connection for last 2 years. I am using unlimited download plan for last 2 years. On Dec 28, I asked Airtel to disconnect my broadband higher rates. But I decided to continue with Airtel to avoid major discomfort with new operator. On Jan 4, I received a call from Airtel that my plan has changed to Rs 250 with limited download. I clearly told them that I am not intrested in any change in plan and would like to continue with existing plan of Rs. 799. They agreed on this.

    In Februray, I received a bill of Rs 6637 with Internet charges of 5900. After my multiple discussion with Airtel, they agreed their mistake ans asked me to pay Rs. 1300. They told me that I have been moved to my original plan of rs. 799 and future bills will be based on this.

    This month, I have received a bill with DSL charges of Rs. 2237. Airtel has charged for 10 days on my changed plan for 20 days on unlimited download plan.

    When I call their call centre, they adamently told me that I had accepted the plan and their executives have mentioned internally some comments that I had accepted this billing. They have given me discount and their is no error from my side.

    They said, they do not care for any authorities and I can go to any court / tribunals to settle. The billing executive named "Vinod" from Bangalore attended my call.

    Request you to help on this as this is not fair practice from Airtel

    Dear Sir,
    i A.K Singh having airtel prepaid connection with numaber 9989888913.i dnt have outgoing facility on my mobile even tough balance is available. i am facing this problem since last 65 days.i am facing this problem from 2 nov 2009 to till date. i have given almost 55 complaints and also taken time from my busy schedule and visited begumpet-hyderabad office of airtel.but no use. Still iam facing same problem.Please look in to the matter as soon as possible.

    You have a very strong reason to drag the Airtel to the Consumer Forum, I suggest you to first file a Complaint with your area nodal officer via written registered post or via email, to ( to know the address visite: Address ), wait for their response and revert us back with their reply.

    Thumbs down network problem in balwakhani,gangtok{ sikkim}

    sir,
    i saurav singh having a airtel prepaid connection having a problem in balwakhani, gangtok part of sikkim capital. hence i m paying a lot of money in topup but the coverage here is really bad please take action and if you don't than the people here is planning or moving over other prepaid like vodafone,relience etc.
    please want to here some action taking in this matter

    Default Network Problem in Airtel Connection

    We are using Airtel CUG since last 4 years at our vicinity around 200 Connections have been taken from them, network problem is frequently faced at our area the complaint has already been registered to customer care but nothing has been done.
    Dropping of connection pertains to Airtel only we have other connections also but all are working well. We are placed at ICD Dadri.
