There were service request nos being given to me when tried to call on 121 viz
    3947
    5568

    Details:

Wrong commitment from AIRTEL sales executive at the time of giving this number (9867218318).
The airtel executive had promised a plan of Rs.100(rental)per month. Whereas right from 1st bill I was charged as per Rs.149(rental).

Lot of delay & Nonsatisfactory responses from airtel while claiming waiver as per the promises made by the airtel exec.
Due to the improper service and delay, I decided to close the plan and discontinue the number. Even my request for disconnection was not

attented properly. I was told to report to AIRTEL centre, PAY the overcharged bill first and give a written application for disconnection -

which I never agreed. If AIRTEL has executives for giving out new nos on the fly, anywhere, and as per the convenience of customers then why

cant they send an executive to customer for collecting bill and application? Moreover this CUG plan was given to our office colleagues in our

office. That is why, I was requesting AIRTEL to send their executive to our office to resolve our problems collectively.

Finally, on 26/06/2009 AIRTEL sent an executive for collection of settled amount Rs.463 (calculated by AIRTEL exec - Ms Swati) after

deductions of waived amount from the pending amount Rs.735. Same day, I handed over the cheque of Rs 463 in respect of FULL AND FINAL PAYMENT

and even handed over the written application for disconnection to the executive (Mr. Bhagesh Patil). Meanwhile, AIRTEL recovery deptment kept

calling me regarding pending bill & I had had to keep making them aware of AIRTEL RECEIPT NUMBER 1229402 dated 26/06/2009 and rcpt of written

application by their executive. There was lot of delay here too.
Now, on 07/08/2009 I received an e-mail from AIRTEL warning me of taking legal action against me with respect to pending amount

against airtel number 9867218318. Even got a call from legal deptmnt of AIRTEL asking the details of the matter which I explained to them this

    time also.

I am literally tortured mentally by AIRTEL in this regard. Please help & suggest as to what should I do in this case?

    Address:

Dombivli, Tal: Kalyan, dist: Thane, State: Maharashtra, PIN- 421202.

    Thank you very much.

    Default Wrong Commitment from Airtel

    Dear Sachin,

This has become a trend in Airtel. Here in Delhi also, 90% of Airtel subscribers are facing this problem. At relationship centres of South Extension, I have frequently seen many old aged persons being harassed by their Airtel staff. First the sales persons makes wrong commitments just to boost up their sales target and then only person suffers and that is customer.
Since the concept of Customer Care has arrived in India, it has reduced the quality of service.Airtel outlet don't know what to do, how to do?
Is there any such agency or organisation who looks after these type of grievances especially Mobile companies and private banks.

    Thanks

    Rajesh Upadhyay

    Yeah Rajesh,
These mobile companies and banks (specially public sector banks) do not provide proper information about plans and details about mobile/loan etc.. Even I do not know much about the organisation which cover complaints in such areas... BUT recently I read in paper about supreme courts's ruling that consumers can not approach consumer court regarding billing problems from Mobile companies... How unfare.. It seems there is no control over such frodulent companies.. We can not get justice and quick relief ... and have to approach normal court only... which is time consuming... and with lot of delays in results...

    Default update...

    Hi,
What Airtel has done in my case.. is I got calls from recovery dept again regarding settling the issue. They asked me to pay Rs. 538 after deducting 200/- from the current pending bill (Rs. 738/-). It MEANS.. they have just decremented the earlier outstandings.. by previous payment of Rs. 463/- I made.
Now, again torturing me with calls about settlement...This time I have asked a "FULL AND FINAL Clearance" letter from AIRTEL on letterhead of the company.. so that after this settlement, if I get any call from AIRTEL regarding pending bill... I am going to drag them in court.

Default Fraud Bill after closure of connection

I was having an airtel postpaid connection no : 9903979773 and i surrendered the same on 03-08-2008.

I also paid the bill for the bill period 05-07-2008 to 04-08-2008 and other previous dues leaving behind Rs 300 - to adjust with the initial deposit money of Rs
300 - as told by the Airtel Serampore service outlet persons.

Even after doing everything i received the bill for subsequent months which service outlet persons said that i need not pay.

Things have not stopped and i started receiving calls for paying the due amount for which i am not liable or otherwise they will start recovey proceedings. I received a letter from Airtel Salt Lake Office stating the same thing.

I clarified everything and attached the xerox copy of last paid Cash Receipt copy received from the Airtel Serampore Shop but still on 11-11-2009 I received a letter from Chandrasekhar Sarkar saying that i am using airtel cellular frequency waves and i should pay for the same or otherwise legal proceedings will be started against me. I am really having a very bad and traumatic experience.

Kindly let me know what i am supposed to do now at this situation.
