    Default Wrongly charged by Airtel under the tag of accessing GPRS

    Hi,

    I am literally shocked by the rudeness and shameful act of Airtel towards its customer. Firstly they charge me Rs.0.60 in the name of accessing Airtel Live. Few minutes after that Rs 39 odd was deducted from my balance under the same category. However during all this period my phone was lying stationary. I was working on my station, and I have to be a big fool to access the internet on my cell phone instead on my work station. I lodged the complaint with the customer care department and he told me the charges were Rs. 43. After talking to the Customer Care Executive, I rechecked my balance, and to my utter surprise I realized, they have deducted Rs. 200 for nothing. I ran from pillar to post to get the issue resolved, but as expected, they did not have any satisfactory explanations except the fact that "it shows on their MIS". I guess my phone is acting host to a ghost". And this is not the first time I am suffering from the so called generosity of Airtel towards its customers. Sometime back I was wrongly charged Rs. 80 for downloading a game, however that had never happened. After rebuking them and protesting against the charges, they refunded the amount.

    This time they won't budge. The market is going crazy. They can not hike the call rates. So they have started a new way to increase their revenues. This is not just cheating but also a disgusting act for a company of the caliber of Airtel. I guess I am not the only person going through this ordeal.

    ohh....blunder ..usually Airtel people are very polite with customers but your incidence is a proof that even they are not ready to admit their fault...that is insane..u should send mail to customer support it will bring prompt action.
