I am a customer of MTS,Kolkata(MDN 9433413144).Recently for network problems and some other issues I have decided to port out of MTS network and port in to TATA DOCOMO CDMA.Accordingly, I had collected my Unique Porting Code and on 17/05/2012, submitted my documents with filled up port in form to TATA DOCOMO STORE at Kalighat(SREEJI TELESERVICES,81A,S.P.Mukherjee Road,Kolkata-26). That was my greatest mistake.The STORE manager,a madam-who also runs a LPG agency side by side and seems more interested on that LPG business, appeared then quite ignorant of the MNP procedure (though on that day she proudly claimed that she is running this store for a continuous 7 years with reputation). However, she gave me one UIM (Sr. No-271400320424026).After that I did not get any confirmation message about the acceptance of my MNP request which raised my suspicion. I repeatedly contacted with both operators- MTS and TATA DOCOMO alternately and they seemed clueless about that MNP. I also contacted with SREEJI TELESERVICES several times over phone and store persons(including that madam) constantly assured me that everything was ok from their part and advised me to wait. When 13 days were over and there was no information regarding that MNP, I lodged complaints to several consumer sites including consumercourt.in and to TRAI and DOT.
On today (07/06/2012) I have visited SREEJI TELESERVICES physically and to my surprise, after being enquired,that madam initially told me that there is no record available to them of my MNP application.When I produced the cash memo alongwith UIM given to me,she told me to wait and to my utter surprise, kept me waiting almost for 3 hours(from 3-6 pm).She was then engaged to some vital works related to her gas agency.At last one person confirmed me that the MNP form alongwith the documents was probably misplaced and was not sent and I have to restart the porting process from the very beginning which left me totally disgusted.At 7-40 pm one TATA DOCOMO executive also called me in response of my complaint and quite politely he also confirmed me that no such MNP request was received by them.He also advised me to restart the process from the beginning.
Therefore, for such kind of irresponsible and callous attitudes of a TATA DOCOMO STORE,I have suffered from mental harassment for a long 20 days.That store persons continuously misguided me and lied me when I enquired about that MNP over phone.In this ultra-sensitive and highly competitive telecom market,where every operator is trying their hardest to retain their original customers and attract customers of other networks to port in to their network, this kind of negligency and unprofessional attitude on the part of a TATA DOCOMO STORE which leads to the harassment and mental agony of the would-be customers in no way increases the customer friendly image of TATA DOCOMO.
