    Default Vodafone Harassing its customers

    This is regarding two calls received from a number starting with +2245... On 3rd January, around 11.30 pm, I received the first call from this number and I called back the number as I have worried about the health of some elderly people staying abroad. On 4th January again, I received a call from the same number and when I called back, I was asked to give my personal and and bank account details to which I disconnected the line. On the same day, I spoke to the customer care and was told by them that this has happened with many of the subscribers and that the matter is being investigated and the billed amount would be reversed. (These complaints on 4th and 5th January have not been registered and the complaint on 6th January only has been registered) Subsequently, I received a message saying that my ISD has been barred as I have crossed the limit of Rs.1800/-. I also received a message saying that my bill has been generated for an amount of Rs.3564/-. From then on, I am calling the Vodafone customer care regularly only to know that since I made this call, I have to pay this amount and also my outgoing has been barred. My bills were always between Rs. 500 - 800 and I am really worried about this whopping bill. I therefore request you to look into the matter immediately and reverse the amount charged to me as I called back the number without knowing that its a spam call. For no fault of mine, I am not willing to pay this amount.

    After this, I made repeated calls to Vodafone Nodal office and Appellate office and the outcome is as follows:
    My bill due date is 22nd January and much before the due date my incoming has been suspended. After my repeated calls to both these offices, I was told that my incoming will be activated within 3 hrs which has not been done so far.

    Vodafone has agreed to waive 50% of the bill amount (2790/- for the international call) which I also agreed and had asked them to send a confirmation mail to enable me to pay the balance amount before the due date of 22nd January which has not been sent so far.

    Under these circumstances, I request your kind office to let me know how to proceed further as I have been holding this number from 2006 - 2007, and I have given this
    number in my children's school, gas booking, banks etc. I am not receiving any messages nor incoming calls as they have suspended my incoming as well. Please look into this immediately and advice me accordingly.
