    Angry MNP Complaint against Airtel

    We had placed a porting request for porting of our number 9959098005 under Airtel Account Number 1020598903 in May 2010 and got the following reply:

    Ref: Email dated 21-05-2011, expressing concern regarding the inability to Port out for your airtel mobile number 9959098005.

    Thank you for your email to airtel and the opportunity to assist you.

    We understand that you have not been able to port out from your airtel mobile number 9959098005.

    We regret to inform you that, we are unable to cater your request, as per our records, the activation date on your current connection is effective from 12-06-2010 and your connection is a company owned and company paid connection. Your company has entered into a contract with airtel for availing special benefits and tariffs for use of your mobile number 9959098005.

    We hope that we have been able to assist you suitably.

    Please do write in for any further assistance.

    We waited till 12-June-2010 and then applied for porting but to no avail. They are refusing and we are forced to pay the bill for the number without even using it. We need the number for internal official purpose but are not able to use to because of the profiteering attitude shown by Airtel Personals.

    I need inputs on the following:
    If MNP is rejected by Airtel what is further course of action.
    Do you need to raise complaint with TRAI. And what is process for that.

    Default harrasement from cutomer care executives

    i have opted to port my number from airtel to other service provider
    unique number porting code was generated on 25th of december
    since last two days i am geting harrassed by the calls from airtle asking the reason to port
    i wisht to place a complaint against it

    My Airtel number is 9535145699. Airtel is rejecting my Port out to BSNL on invalid reason. My application was not processed at all by Airtel and no reason was given to be even after writing a mail to customer care. My second application was rejected due to UPC mismatch. They are simply a bunch of liers. I checked the UPC in the application I've submitted to BSNL. I turned out to be correct only. On writing a mail to Airtel Customer Care I receive the reply to regenerate the UPC. But the regenerated UPC is the same as I've provided in my application. On writing several mails to Airtel about this I keep getting the "copy" - "paste" reply to regenerate UPC. I don't see the point of regenerating UPC when each time I'm getting the same UPC. I don't see where is the mismatch. After severe perseverance I finally got a call from Airtel verifying my UPC, which they confirmed to be correct only and I receive the reply from customer care that my MNP is under process. After two days, when my MNP is still not activated, I wrote them a mail again to know the status of MNP and again I recieved the previous "copy"-"paste" reply of UPC mismatch and regenerating the code. Airtel is simply playing games with it's customers.

    The validity of my UPC has expired. No so called assistance was provided by Airtel. Even no reply was received on writing to the Nodal officer of Airtel.

    hey, Sir i m anable to get my UPC. Airtel blocked 1900 for me. And i am anable to call costmere care at 121 or 198. it said me message sending failed. Well i m send messages to all any person. Plz send me my UPC code for 9630336242

    I was vodafone customer .
    due to quality of service . i decide to port my no. from vodafone to airtel
    i m submit my doc. on 19 march 2012
    i got the massge on the same day .
    according to mnp rule i heard that phone will nt b working stage for 2hrs.
    but ur reputated company airtel didn't start my no. from last 22 march2012 at 11 pm till now.
    as per my telephonic talk wid ur customer care service they told me that ur phone will nt going to b start
    5 day's more .
    as this type of behaviour from ur side . i think i mistaken to switch over to ur complany
    pls do my favor start my phone as early as possible
    to maintain ur reputation .

    Angry MNP Issues on Airtel

    I had ported the number 9124101001 in to airtel. But immediately after port in
    the incoming and outgoing has been barred. Customer care on 198 says that the sim has been permanently rejected
    and the number can never be activated. I tried visiting the airtel
    relationship center as per the advice given to my last email to 121@in.airtel.com, but
    there I was told that I need to dial 123.. I dialled but still it says "Outgoing Barred".

    The number has already been released by my previous operator
    (Vodafone) but 198 customer care asked me to contact vodafone in this
    regards.

    This is not the kind of service I had expected from Airtel prior to porting in.

    Please help as this is one of my primary numbers.
