Airtel prepaid number SIM card registration failed I had purchased an Airtel prepaid SIM(number - 9591543844) with lifetime validity in December 2010 with a feature of International roaming. I have been using this number regularly, in the last 3-4 months i am in singapore and hence not using it for making calls or receiving calls, however i have registered this number in all my bank accounts and hence i was continuously receiving sms from the respective banks on the transactions that I do, which means i am actively using the number, secondly i have been recharging a suitable currency every 2 months through my bank a/c for which I have proofs. I also noticed that regularly Airtel has been detecting Rs 35 or Rs 25 for hello tunes service etc for which they have not been taking my permission, even though I keep recharging my mobile to keep it active, the currency gets used by these stupid services for which they dont ask my permission. I also get an sms saying i could cancel the service by calling a toll free number which I have never been able to call from my mobile from Singapore. This is my first problem.
Having borne with alll these nonsense, I saw a message on December 8th 2011 morning - SIM CARD Registration Failed.
Until December 7th 2011 evening I was getting Sms from airtel and other parties.
I even lodged a complaint in the airtel site and I have not got any reply from them. this is the second time its happening to me. Earlier I just let go the number and took a new number which is the one i have mentioned above. Again I am facing the same issue which is absolutely ridiculous. I am very surprised that Airtel has a pathetic bull shit customer care despite the heavy competition among the service providers in the telecom industry. Kindly help me to get a suitable answer from AIRTEL.

Airtel sim card registration failed I have bought an Airtel Connection around October 2011. I used it well until 22/12/2011 when suddenly around evening it showed simcard registration failed. I had gone to an Airtel shop to recharge it with 3G plan of 450. The recharge showed successful on the vendors mobile but i did not recieve any sms and when i checked my mobile it showed sim card registration failed. My Mobile no is +919632223835. When I called my number i got to hear this no doesnt exist after using it for 2 whole months. I called several times the customer care but was each time redirected to their postpaid department. This is first time such a thing happened to me. The net connection is important to me. Waiting to get response from Airtel. **************

Airtel sim registration failed RESPECTED SIR I ported my mobile no 94658-90630 (punjab) from bsnl to airtel on 29 sept 2011. After I ported into airtel my airtel sim is not working properly. I M facing this problem from 3 months. I have called customer care support many time but they just dont give a damn to it. Even I have replaced my sim 2 times from airtel office. But still problem remains the problem is that the sim works for 20 or 25 minutes and then the sim says sim card registration failed. Some time it shows full range but no call or message is possible to make. It shows connection error. What should I do? I consulted customer care and airtel complaint no 198 and airtel office too. They gave no solution. Instead they just waste my time. Kindly help me soon. I changed 4 handsets but every handset is working . No problem is there in my handset. The problem is in the sim card services. But airtel gives me no solution. So kindly help me to get out of the problem. Deepak 94658-90630

Respected Sir,
I Holding the airtel no 9845298493 for a period of 10 years , Sicne Dec 23 2011 , I faced problems that my number is not reachble by my friends. From dec 23 the Sim card is displaying " sim regisration failed" , I still had pending currency of 89 INR. I am doctor doing international stints and frequently travelling outside the country.
On the 22nd Dec 2011 I received a message that 35 Rs was deducted for Hello tunes which I did not subscribe.
Hence I immedaitely called customer service and explained them the situation , at which they said it will be refunded within 24 hours. Later I find within 24 hrs my Number fails to work.
I find this as a retaliation measure for me being harsh with the CSO .
I have used this number for patient care and Business transaction of various financial institutions.
I did call airtel customer care at which they informed me that the Number has already been recycled and cannot be used.
The reason they explained was that even though I had life time validity until 2037, there was not much usage hence it was cancelled. Actually , I made a international call on 20 dec 2011 on it deducting 100 Rs .
I maintain adequate balance on it .
I had also submitted my address proof on time in Oct 2010 , after being harassed for it , inspite that , I had got two new simcards for the saem number because they stopped funcitoning in the past just ordinarly , every time I had submit a address prood and ID proof.
I understand that mobile companies need revenue for maintenance , but disconnection with out any notice is Unwarranted. I am willing to recharge immedaitely and buy a replacement SIM if this number could be resotred.
But I doubt the claim from them that the number has been recycled within 24 hrs after disconnection.
Could please advise how may I intiate proper legal action against Airtel and also create a awareness campaign that Lifetime Validity is not actually not true !! their marketting false deals to blind customer under the pretence of looring them.

Airtel Prepaid Network's irritative service Hello sirs,
I am Narayanaswamy. I am from tamilnadu. I am having an airtel prepaid which I bought in karnataka after joining my job in bangalore. It worked well for nearly 15 days. After that all of a sudden one fine morning, all outgoing calls and messages are barred. Even I have submitted all the valid documents. But still they have done like this. I contacted airtel but they told me to submit the documents again. And I asked how many times should I submit the documents for a single sim. And they are asking me " Have you submitted the proof 4 or 5 times. Only one time no. Then submit it again. then only your calls will be connected.". And there is no proper response from their side. What can I do for this issue?

I'm Fathima. I'm from tamilnadu. I'm having Airtel number 9994389865. I have been using this number since 2007 but now this number was deactivated I'm getting message sim registration failed . I need this number because for my bank accounts I have given this number only and my one time password will be received through this number only. Now I couldn't access my bank accounts through Internet. Kindly please activate this number as soon as possible. Kindly help me get out of this problem soon. Waiting for your good response
