My Vodafone number has been ported to an Airtel mobile number without any request being sent by me. One day I got a message saying, we have recieved your porting request, I thought maybe someone made a mistake, the next day my number stopped working. I called Customer Care, they said goto Vodafone shop. Went to Vodafone shop, the agent says, not possible that you never sent a request. I asked, how could you port the number without asking/confirming to whom it belongs? They said, its not us, but Airtel who has done the porting, so ask Airtel! This is rediculous, one fine day my number has been stolen without me knowing it and Vodafone agent says I can't help. Its as per TRAI rules, that a number can be ported by a request via sms. No verification required. What nonsense! How is that supposed to be, anyone can steal anyone's number like this! Please help!
