    Default Airtel-Worst Mobile Service Provider

    My Mom's Phone Number 9900148945 has been deactivated for no reason.I inquired at
    a local airtel showroom only to find that it has been processed to be recycled.
    No message or intimidation was done regarding this to mom.
    In a few more days,my dads 9945694771 number also got deactivated.

    I first mailed 121@airtel.com.in about this and they said it had been deactivated 2 years back which is obviously not true since my mom used her number in November 2011.

    I called up Airtel customer care 9845098450 only to get evasive responses from the call centre.After getting purposely disconnected thrice the following were told.
    One person told me that we had not used the phone for 90 days.I don not know how else am i supposed to "USE" it other than recharging it and making calls.

    Another call center guy told me that we had not submitted the documents. In fact I myself had submitted my parents documents personally TWICE at the following airtel agency.

    Are we supposed to submit our documents every month. or every day?
    Either this is a lapse of the agency or on the part of the people who update the databases of Airtel.Whichever way it is the customer who pays.

    The call centre and agency guys calmly tell you can purchase this number again and acquire it. Why should we when we thought buying a number was sufficient for once as we did not expect Airtel to be such a cheat.
    This must be some money gaining scheme so that Airtel can benefit out of it.

    On top of it we have poor network service in the area that we stay in in spite of complaining once to the Airtel authorities. We were about to port our numbers to another provider when this happened and we lost the number forever.
    I would advice whoever reads this to switch over as fast as you can before they do this to you too.
