    Default Airtel is only making money and not interested in providing serivce

    Hi,

    I have been using Airtel Mobile connection for the past ten years with the number 98407 19578. Unfortunately, i took the connection as an Add on card to my Ex. Boss Number.

    I have raised a request in Airtel website through my login account requesting them to change of Name. I recived a call from the customer care and the lady informed me that i can approache airtel office and submit my request. On 01/11/2011 i approched their office at,
    Bharti Airtel Limited, Oceanic Towers, 8th Floor, 101 Santhome High Road, Chennai 600 028, Tamil Nadu.

    The customer care executives Mohammed and Devi refused to take the request and told me it is not possible to tranfer the name. Alternatively they suggested me to switch from Postpaid to Prepaid option, so that i can have the number in my name. They asked me pay the unbilled amount of Rs.1268/- in my post paid connection, which i did immediately and gave them the receipt no.18700. They told me it will be active the next day. From that night onwards all my Incoming/Outgoing calls,SMS are stopped.

    In spite of calling 198 and sending mails to 121@in.airtel.com, there was no action from them. When i tried to make calls, i got a message that there is no balance in my account, i thought it means my Prepaid is active and i will have to load money for the usage. I recharged for Rs.102/- But i was not able to recived/make calls,SMS. Till now my services are not resumed. Kindly advice as to where should i represent this issue. Thanks.
