Thumbs down Airtel Repeatedly Cheating me - Tariff & data usage plan both

Below complaint was sent to airtel on Sep 8th 2011 through mail to below mentioned mail id's but they haven't taken any action yet. This is the way of airtel functioning by fleecing the customer. Now again they fooled me by not providing 2G 1GB data plan valid for 1 month, which I recharged through airtel online store by paying 98 rupees. When contacted their customer care 1st told me that it is not active & takes time to get active later when contacted they contradicted by telling me that I used the whole 1GB data limit on 2G network within span of 10 hours!!!

Can you belive it? 1GB data can be used on 2G network in span of 10 hours, oh & yes all this time I was on several offical calls, which even the airtel customer care guy accepted. Then where did all the 1GB data went? Mr. Mittal, wake up buddy? Stop fooling!

    (appellate.kk@airtel.in, 121@in.airtel.com, trai@del2.vsnl.net.in, ap@trai.gov.in, sbm@bharti.com, ceo.direct@bharti.com, atul.bindal@bharti.com, manoj.kohli@bharti.com,nodalofficer.kk@airtel.in)

Below is the content of the mail sent on first time:

I am airtel prepaid customer with number 9611843096. I would like to bring it to your notice that Airtel official website is misleading customers to purchase tariff/plans which are not available in actual, as claimed by your customer care executive and nodal officer "Deepak"(9972534865).

As per the information displayed in the Airtel.in website I opted to change my plan by recharging for Rs. 53(as displayed in below table) but after recharging I noticed that call rates are being charged not as declared in the website. (Contd after table ...)
    Local STD Roaming
Telecom Service Area msc of recharge (in Rs.) Incoming Validity (in Days) airtel to airtel airtel to Other Mobile airtel to Landline airtel to airtel airtel to Other Mobile airtel to Landline Local airtel to airtel Local airtel to Other Mobile STD airtel to airtel STD airtel to Other Mobile Incoming Calls
    Karnataka 53 365 0.5 0.6 0.6 0.5 0.6 0.6 0.6 0.8 0.6 0.8 0.6

After making 3 attempts to explain the same to customer care executives, I escalated the same to floor supervisor "Vijay" who acknowledged that website information is misleading/wrong hence inturn he asked me to consult Nodal officer(Bangalore) as it was out of his hands. But when I spoke nodal officer "Deepak"(who attended in place of Meenakshi Bora), it was quite shocking with kind of attitude shown towards solving the problem.

He(Deepak, NO) acknowledged that it is airtel's fault that wrong information is displayed in the website & he gave me option to refund "half of the money paid" but denied providing the same plan. When I countered why he is offering half refund, he didn't have answer for the same.

Why do you(Airtel) think that customer should pay penalty for Airtel's mistake. Its not just the money but even waste of lot of my productive time & energy. Isn't it illegal to charge the money for service you failed to provide. It is Airtel, who should pay penalty for misleading customer but now I have been asked to bear it. Is it fair business practice? I wonder is it been done intentionally so that customers are forced to pay-up for Airtel's mistake.

    Proofs Attached:
I have provided screenshot of Airtel website displaying wrong tariff as of 08/Sep/2011(with other sites in-screen as date proof). As well I am sending the saved pages of 2 tariffs(53 & 36) which are wrongful.
Links can be verified as of now at (I am not allowed to post the link here but can be googled by "Airtel Best national romaing Plan" and "Airtel Best Value Offers & Plan" ) for Karnataka prepaid.

I am sending this mail to confirm the above stated mismanagement of Airtel, if any objection please reply to the same mail at earliest otherwise I'll be taking up the same as proof of intimation for further legal action.
