    Default Airtel DND: DND not respected, put on hold for 5dys on CHARGEABLE complaint line

    I was registered under DND on my pre-paid mobile number after a direct complaint to TRAI, and the flood of SMS spam had been stopped to my mobile. However, it was removed from the DND registery when I moved from a pre-paid to a post paid number and the whole flood of numbers started again. I re-registered under DND in the fully blocked category with the number being W1048129258. I had called customer care to request that the calls be stopped and was told to file individual complaints for each SMS I got on a daily basis or register the same on your DND page on the website. Since then, for the last five days, I have been calling your customer care helpline DAILY (both 198 and the CHARGEABLE 121) only to be kept on hold and then disconnected. At the same time, the website page does not permit the registration of complaints to continue (prompting for the date of the complaint to be entered, when it already has been picked from the menu). In the meantime, I am still receiving a whole flood of junk SMS on a daily basis. After five days of trying- the latest list of SMSs received is given below.

    1. My complaint is- There needs to be a PERMANENT solution to this flood, beyond addressing individual smses.
    2. Your helpline does NOT actually WORK.
    3. Your website reporting actually does NOT work.
    4. This is the listing of the individual cases that were filed.

    Copying this list down has taken a good 30 mins and including the several CHARGEABLE calls I have tried to make only to be put on hold, it feels like a means of earning even more money from customers without actually doing anything on the problems concerned.

    I have sent an email on the email id on your signoff. I am sure you understand why no sane person would want to put up their mobile number on an open forum when the complaint is about spam being sent to that number already.

    Dear Mr Barun Kumar Sharma,

    I am not sure if you have read the original complaint filed by me before responding- reading your email, I am very doubtful. The case remains completely unresolved.

    Please note, the subject of my complaint was that I had been put on hold on your complaint line for five days- including on CHARGED lines. Therefore, referring me back to the same line and to the same website is an insult to my intelligence and yours. Therefore, let me repeat what the complaint was in the first case:

    1. My complaint is- There needs to be a PERMANENT solution to this flood, beyond addressing individual smses.
    2. Your helpline does NOT actually WORK.
    3. Your website reporting actually does NOT work.
    4. This is the listing of the individual cases that were filed.

    In the meantime, I am continuing to receive promotional sms- including from addresses about which I have filed complaints in the past. You are requesting me to file via the very same fundamentally messed up mediums- namely your nonfunctional chargeable helpline that only leads to an inflated phone bill for me and broken website. You are also STILL saying one has to reporting individual cases- which has been demonstrated not to work.

    The case is therefore NOT resolved- please do not pretend otherwise.

    Default Getting SMS from DM-ADVTAX every 15 minutes

    I have complaint againt airtel. I have been getting complaints from this "DM-ADVTAX". every 15 minutes making my work miserable i complaint to Airtel customer care they dont seems to do anything and the agent says they have logged complaint but so far no help. I am already registered under DND.

    I am getting messages every 15 mins from this "DM-ADVTAX" & "LM-ADVTAX" and its disturbing me like any thing. I am already registered under DND. Even i gone to local income tax office and enquired about it. They are saying that,it is not in their hands. All messages are coming from New Delhi office. I request you to look into this issues and stop the messages related to this. My Mobile No : 9490657535.
