    Angry Vodafone is looting me up for the past 2 years :-X

    I am a Vodafone IN customer from kerala and has been using Vodafone for the past two years. I recently came across the Trai Site and noticed that Vodafone isn't following one of the rules of Trai. As per your Rules, Value added services shouldn't be activated without the explicit consent from the Subscriber. But with Vodafone,this isn't the case. Dial *567# and your Caller tune will be activated. *555*XX# - the corresponding pack will be activated. If you press 5(activate offer ) key during their ad call the offers like alert packs are activated.Press * and CT will be copied and activated without confirmation. This is totally unfair on their part. The next issue is that they are allowing for unlimited negative balance and they purposefully delay the billing of GPRS on prepaid Sims.The result is that people who check the Gprs balance wont recognize that their balance is being deducted for usage.The problem is with those who use Gprs packs with limited MB. Once the balance is over , and if they continue to use the net without knowing that their balance is over, Data charges are deducted as per normal trates (10p/10KB) and it wont stop even if the balance has gone below zero due to the delayed billing. The usage charges are usually deducted 2 or 3 hours later and they would end up in a huge negative balance . My friend had once got a Negative of minus 210 Rs. And why do they charge 10ps/10Kb which amounts to Rs 20,000 for 2 Gb when a 2Gb pack is provided at Rs98. WHy such a huge difference ?? nobody is going to use Gprs at that rates unless accidentally. And about the premium services,A low quality wallpaper from vodafone live site is charged 10 rs when tonne loads of wallpapers are available for free on Internet. Jokes are charged Rs3 per Sms e.t.c. So all these are meant to loot people who are unaware of the Charges for using these services.And the Vodafone doesn't provide any refunds for such accidentally activated offer packs.If you call the customer care the will say that "we dont have a refund option".[ The customer service is too Poor that they will Cut the call Midway When you are talking abotu the complaint which cannot be resolved easily :-X ]..But once i had contacted the nodal officer and they had refunded me my Cancelled Gprs pack.Most of the people wont contact Nodal officer an they are unaware of it.So the complaints should be solved at the primary level itself.Which the vodafone fails to implement. Such unfair practices should be Stopped. And if there is somebody planning to Switch to Vodafone reading this , Trust me... Dont switch to Vodafone. They will tear your pockets. Don't get yourself exploited & fooled by a Foreign MNC. Ajith Memana

    Thank you sir for your showing interest [Which ur Customer care never did].
    I am sorry to say that i have switched to !dea last week after all these events.I was really fed up with your services as it nearly Killed Me..
    And why you are asking me to contact your CC ?? See , this itself shows your Unfair manners..
    This is not just my problem . People all over kerala are suffering due to your such wierd polices. i have seen several such cases.
    Yesterday , one of my friends accidentally dialled *123*10# to check the gprs balance[ it was like that on his airtel which he ported recently to vodafone ] , & lost his 25 bucks for activation of Job alerts which he never needed.
    & i have a question for you, whats the meaning of the word "Pre " ?? A prepaid Connection is meant to be used after you pay the amount. & Why do you provide for a negative balance with which you cannot ,make calls, Sms or use GPRS. You should better call it "Debit-Paid "....
    If you are really sincere , please resolve the following problems ...

    *Negative balance thing should be Stopped.
    *Live billing of GPRS & allow users to block their GPRS usage when a Gprs Pack is expired or not activated.
    *Double Confirmation before activating any Packs or alerts through USSD.
    *Provide for refund options when cancelling any accidentally activated packs.
    *Discourage the Premium services .

    I hope vodafone will become the No.1 Network once the above suggestions are implemented...
