Hi,
with respect to the above details, i would like to say that i have received a legal notice from lok adalat regarding unpaid dues after 7-9 months of disconnecting the broadband connection.
1: The letter is in Tamil and me not being a native of this place, can’t understand even a single word of the same.
2: I have received the letter today (26th Sep, 2011). i request you to kindly send the same details in English.
3: my current address has been changed, and before moving out of the previous place, i had called customer service a number of times and had asked to disconnect my connection and hence service of the same. I had to take this step on account of poor service and unsatisfactory speed of the photon's bandwidth.
4: also, while getting the connections, i was offered several promotional products and was informed that i will be getting them separately within one week of activation. I kept on calling customer care number and retail office of photon and the agent from their office who billed me for the same. But none of them gave me what i was promised. All of them kept on moving the blame and responsibilities to each other.
I was given only dates and assurance of delivery. And very soon the numbers of the agent and photon's office got changed without intimation.
5: At last fed up of all these issues, i called customer care and asked them to disconnect the same as i was just wasting money and not getting anything in return. For the same , i got confirmation from the customer care that my connection has been disconnected. I too found the same to be true and stopped using the same. While the customer care executives kept on assuring me (over multiple phone calls) that my connection has been disconnected, i also enquired about bills and was clarified that as service is getting disconnected, hence no more bill.
6: after that too i kept on getting calls from Tata photon regarding new connections and other products on offer. All the representatives would speak in Tamil, and me not being a native of Tamilnadu, could not understand what they were trying to say. I would request them: " Could U PLEASE SPEAK IN ENGLISH?" After which they would disconnect the call directly without even trying to say a word in English.
7: now, after 8-9 month of that incident i am receiving a letter from lok adalat asking me to appear on 29th Sep. I have deleted all records of the same by now. When they had disconnected the connection......from where does this unpaid bill comes? When i didn’t use the wiz....how is the bill generated? n if the connection was not disconnected. Wasn’t it the fault of a number of customer care representatives who confirmed me that the connection has been disconnected?
8: Kindly Get your system changed and update your representatives and prevent them from giving false information to customers. I had changed my address. Being a good human, i showed my gesture of giving my new address as even i was curious to know what i received after a year of disconnecting the connection. But this issue, including mental harassments caused to me is nothing, but a result of lack of proper information and responsibilities by your agents and customer. Care executives.
9: Also I am going to be out of station from 29th Sep. to 17th oct,2011.and hence it shall be difficult for me to be present in court on the same .Kindly Clarify my above mentioned doubts and this situation, which in no way is caused due to me.
