    Angry AIRTEL Customer Care HARASSMENT & Balance Deduction



    My name is Mohit....I am a regular Airtel user for 6 years now...but what i experienced on JUNE 30 and thereafter has compelled me to quit airtel and move to other mobile service providers...

    My mobile Number is 8755213671..I purchased this new connection on JUNE 3 ,2011 and on the same day had it recharged with the following :

    1)SMS PACK Rs.36 - Validity 30 days
    2)RC-12 - Validity 30 days
    3) Rs. 222 FULL TALK TIME - VALIDITY 30 DAYS

    As i was out for work , i used this number on a very few occasions and made just a few phone calls and messages..and most of the balance was unused..
    The last time i made a call was on JUNE 28 and the balance was approx. Rs. 175 remaining out of "Rs.222 FULL TALKTIME" balance WHICH IS A SEPARATE BALANCE AS PER AIRTEL PLAN..

    On June 30 when i made a call, i noticed that i was charged from my MAIN BALANCE..i was surprised...as just two days back i had Rs 175 in my FULL TALKTIME account....i checked the Full Talktime balance by dialing *123*6#....and to my surprise it said "INVALID ACCOUNT SELECTION"..

    This means that the Full talktime account was terminated (on JUNE 30 ) i.e after 27 days ....whereas it had 30 days validity so it could not have been terminated before JULY 2....

    i contacted the customer care right then...and the person i talked to was very rude and impolite and it seemed as if he had no interest in doing his job..His name was MOHD.
    I explained it to him & asked the reason behind this..At first he was not willing to listen and replied that the period of 30 days must be over without checking any details of my number and the recharge...(which means he was just assuming on his own)..
    i told him to check the details ...after about 10 mins he said that there was no such recharge on my number....and asked me to hang up the phone!!!!! i asked him how could this be possible? to which he says that No recharge was done..
    i asked him to check it properly and again after about 10 mins he acknowledged that THERE WAS A RECHARGE OF Rs. 222 DONE ON JUNE 3 AND THAT Rs. 173 WERE REMAINING WHICH WERE UNDULY DEDUCTED..... THIS IS WHAT HE ACKNOWLEDGED AND VERIFIED ON HIS SYSTEM... which simply means that before this he had not actually checked any details and was just trying to fool me or mislead lead me for reasons unknown...
    i asked him why had he replied earlier that no recharge had been done ??? He had no answer...
    i asked him to lodge a compliant to which he disconnected the line..

    the second person i talked to was a lady and she had no knowledge of my details and after keeping me on hold for a long time all she had to say was that : IT MUST BE THE CASE THAT I HAD SENT MANY MESSAGES AND THEY TOO WERE CHARGED FROM MY FULL TALKTIME BALANCE AND HENCE MY FULL TALKTIME BALANCE MUST HAVE GOT OVER BEFORE JULY 3..

    WHAT A RIDICULOUS GUESS WAS THAT!!!!! since i already had an active SMS PACK , then how could the messages be charged from my full talktime balance........and to just make a point my sms pack too was almost unused.....to this she had no answer and the line was disconnected..

    Look at the contradiction...these customer care people have different systems that show different details for a mobile number i guess...when one person confirms that indeed Rs 173 were deducted , the other person does not ....

    the third person i talked to kept me on hold for about 20 mins....and disconnected the line....thereafter i tried several times at 121 and 198 but i was debarred from making calls to these numbers.....

    and to make it clear my full talktime balance was not over....because if it was actually over, then on dialling *123*6# on June 30 it should have shown zero balance, but it showed "INVALID ACCOUNT SELECTION".... which means that the account had balance (Rs 173) but was terminated before the validity period was to get over...

    I felt offended & irritated by all this and on the same day i e-mailed to <121@in.airtel.com>, <121@airtelindia.com>, <121@in.airtel.in>, (121) and <nodalofficer.upw@airtel.in>, <nodal.upwest@airtel.in>, <nodalofficer@airtel.in>, (NODAL OFFICERS) .

    BUT EVEN AFTER 4 DAYS I HAD NO RESPONSE FROM THEM ...MY PROBLEM IS NOT RESOLVED AS YET...

    the next day when i was allowed to make calls to 121 a lodged a compliant ... with complaint number - 3070107238500 , which has also not been resolved...

    today i have e-mailed at <airtelpresence@in.airtel.com> and i must admit i have no hope...

    THIS BEHAVIOR IS HIGHLY DISAPPOINTING AND UNACCEPTABLE ...AND IT IS UNETHICAL ON THE PART OF AIRTEL WHICH IS A LEADER IN TELECOM BUSINESS TO TREAT ITS CUSTOMERS LIKE THIS...[/B][/B]

    IF MY PROBLEM IS NOT RESOLVED I WILL MOVE TO HIGHER AUTHORITIES AND WILL SPREAD THE WORD THROUGH OTHER CHANNELS...

    Angry Airtel deducts prepaid balances unnecessarily to pay their poor customer service teams

    Be careful since Airtel has decided to deduct from their prepaid customers balances in 3G and for other value added services not provided - you would get invalid account selection etc...

    This is to pay for their worthless guys and managers working in their customer service team since they're not able to pay their salaries with so many quitting airtel and money is required by Airtel for their new global vultures works that is their ventures!

    Exclamation Airtel 3G plan Fraud

    Hi

    I have been using airtel for the past 4 years.

    Recently i bought a mobile lumia 710 from an authorised store in market. The mobile had an offer stating 2GB of 3G data plan is completely free for 4 months from the date of purchase.

    The first month i got the 3G plan activated after a big struggle. They said from the second month onwards it will be auto-renwed for the remaining 3 months. The first month's validity got over by June 18th 2012.

    After that since the plan was not activated for the next month, i tried contacting the airtel customer care and filed a complaint and they said it will be rectified after 48 hours, which didnt happen.

    I happened to remove the sim card in between for a technical problem which was solved by authorized person. I havent tried any other sim card than the one i had before.

    I tried reaching them on 23rd and the customer care executive transfered the call to their supervisor, called Sendhamarai. She was rude and told me that since i have taken my sim card out
    the offer has been made invalid.

    Its such a rubbish, its my phone and i can remove my sim card @ any point of time. What does it has to do with the plan's validity?

    Today they say for taking out sim card once the plan has become invalid and tomorrow they might say that the balance has been detected because i switched my phone off?????

    Ridiculous..

    My mobile no is 9840998953.

    The highlight is i tried reaching 12118 and registered a complaint and they said they will send the complaint details which is yet to be recieved. Does the message has to be generated specially.

    Please register this complaint and take immediate action on these kind of senseless answering people.

    We understand their situations though but still its so irritating when we get such answers.

    Default airtel harassment..!!

    Hi,


    I had an airtel no. 9818502529. Had asked them to discontinue the no. as they were sending me abnocious bills. They said they woukd and get back to me with a resolution within few days but its been 3 months, they yet have not and to top it all, they have been charging me the monthly fees. From an amount of 3000 they have come to 8000+

I guess the last usage thru this no. is in April, then after the request was raised regarding these discrepancy on your customer care no. and as they were taking too much of time to it so i finally asked them to shut down the services and they promised me that they'll do the same and make sure that the monthly rentals are not charged as i would not be using this number and will have an NOC when this problem would be resolved.. Its July going on.....??
