This is with regards to my Vodafone postpaid number 9619888249. When I had
taken this number at Vodafone's Vashi (Navi Mumbai) shop, I had expressly requested for a credit limit of Rs. 500 and their 'roamlikehome' plan, since the phone is being used by my minor daughter in Pune.

I was told later that the first bill was in excess of Rs. 3500 because neither the credit limit nor the roaming plan were activated. I placed a complaint about this both with their call centre and personally at their Vashi shop. I requested for a reworking of the bill, stating that I would not pay the stated amount since my instructions to put a credit limit and the roaming plan in place were very clear at the time of purchase of the number.

I received a call from their executive, who told me that the bill would be reworked and sent to me. This did not happen, and when I checked online I saw that the old bill was still in place.

I then received a call from Vodafone stating that unless I cleared both the billed and unbilled amounts, the credit limit could not be implemented. After already having paid Rs. 1000 at their main office in Lower Parel, I finally visited their store in Camp, Pune and paid the remaining charges.

This was three days ago. Today, I once again received a call from Vodafone stating that unless I cleared the 'unbilled charges', they would not be able to put the requested credit limit in place. I lost my temper and told them to stop torturing me. The executive continued to be rude.

Below is a copy of their mail to me:
