Dear Sir/Madam,

My sincere request you to take some action on below my complaint/request.

I'm using Airtel mobile connection from past 3 years. I have been frustrated with
promotional calls, so I have registered for DND service on 7th April 2008 with
reference#S1004114699, but till today I’m receiving promotional calls. I called up
customer care and told many times that I’m still receiving promotional calls and
requested them do something to prevent promotional calls. They suggested me that
‘you have to make complaint for every promotional call you get’. I annoyed for a
while and I have started making complaints hoping may solve the issue, for each
promotional call I got and made almost 40+ complaints whenever possible. After that
I realized myself, what the hell of the job I’m doing by making complaints on each
promotional call, what a panic it is.

There is a claver chance to the promoter of changing the telephone number and do
make the promo call to the user. In this case how many times I have to make
complaint on same promoter?

However, I’m giving you the list of complaints which I have with me hoping this
request / complaint can give resolution and free from promotional calls.

Dear Sir,

I already register my mobile with DO Not Disturb registry.I am subcriber of Vodafone
Gujarat and my mobile number is 9825044353.Since Last one week i receive daily 15 to
20 massages from Niftymaster.com i visit that site today and told then to stop that
massage after that i receive more and more massages from that site. Please look into
matter coz they are disturbing me like anything.

The DND legislation is being made toothless by companies such as Airtel and Vodaphone. They earn money from each such SMS, so why should they limit it.

True, I am registered with DND, but I am registered with Airtel and in all my complaints, I am told that the marketing agency is registered with another operator and Airtel is going to forward our case with them.

Theoretically, if an SMS marketing agency opened a new account with all operators, it could easily send SMS to everybody. It would use its Airtel registered agency for sending SMS's to Vodaphone DND list and its vodaphone registered agency for sending SMS messages to Airtel.

Airtel acts as if it is completely unaware about the message. This is also a sham I think. I can send a message to anyone in the world on Airtel. However, I can not change the number from which the message is sent. It will always go from 991011XXXX. I will have to do some talking with Airtel to send a message with the from field being: TM-XXXX. That can only be done by Airtel's knowledge.

I am a registered DND user of Airtel mobile phone no 9810900409 and its regn number is S1000008221 since 1st Sept 2007.

In spite of that I keep on receiving unwanted calls for promotion and solicitation.

Today I received call from Citi Bank Shelter , Surya Kiran Bldg, 1st floor, Connaught Place , New Delhi -110001 , one lady calling and asking I need any loan. On asking how she has got my number. A standard reply was 'they have data and same is provided by their senior'.

I am surprised receiving the above and similar calls.

Please register my complaint and take necessary action to stop the calls like this.

Hi Sir/Madam,

I registered DND service except Banking, financial services.

Still I am receiving marketing SMSes from following. also, I

tried to reach customer service representative through 121 and it

simply saying "send 121 to know your balance" then disconnects.
Also, tried to raise a complaint through airtel website. Its

simply throughing error " Please select today's or past date"

even I gave past date.

Here is messages I am receiving:
1. Got message on 20/3/2011 7:56:09 AM from number +91

9176981139. message: Don't ignore hair loss. Treat it before it

gets too late! Consult the experts in Hair Treatment-Dr.Batra's .

To Book appointment sms BATRA to 58888
- I tried to call the number +91 9176981139 , it says not a valid

number.
2. Got message on 19/3/2011 01:18:12 pm from number +91

8939687790. message: Earn up to Rs. 5000 per month from one time

investment of Rs. 25000 in sharemarket. Profit assured, existing

tracks are ready to show u. For details call:8374811550.
- I tried to call +91 8939687790, it says not a valid number.
3. Got message on 10/03/2011 10:09:02 pm from number +91

9953627536. message; Your Mobile Number Has Won You (750,000.00

pounds GBP) For The Cococola Promotion. For Claims contact the

claims manager with email below: claimsdept11921@hotmail.com
- I tried to call 9953627536, it says not a valid number.
4. Got Message from LM-TATA AIG on 22/03/2011 03:41:50 PM,

Message: Get Health Insurance Up To Rs. 27 lacs for you & your

family. Save Tax & avail 5% renewal benefit. No medical tests

required. sms TAIG to 5888 Now. * T& C Apply.


also I am getting service messages Airtel like subscribe to this

chage daily Rs. 5 ,subscribe to cricket for daily Rs. 5 , etc .

Please avoid those messages as well.

Also, Possible to take any action if I see messages from BATRA ?

this guy used to send many messages.

In any case, this issue could not resolve please let me know I

will shift to other subscriber (vodafone) or take new number from

other subscriber as I could not talk to customer service center

even I ready pay for it.
