Post Auto activation of GPRS Service

    Hi,

    I have 2 related instances.
I have postpaid Airtel mobile connection.

    1. "Do Not Disturb" Registration - Do it also apply to Airtel.
i am still getting promotional offers from Airtel on new services launched.
i had complianed couple of times on various calls i received from other marketing agents and got reduced to very low level. I still get occasional marketing calls.
But the surprise and irritating factor is that Airtel also sends SMS even after DND registration.

    2. One of the SMS i received was on GPRS service as SMS and i ignored it as another marketing SMS.
After a month it was a shock to me when i sam the monthly bill. The GRPS - Rs XXXX.
I was surprised to see that and never know when GPRS was activated and how data transfer was happening.

I have a high end mobile and have broadband wireless at home, i usually/always browse and download apps at home using wireless at home. But it so happened that whenever the wireless signal was week or when i was outside the data transfer happened with Airtel GPRS connection.

Now how do i handle this, this is complete breach of trust and forcefully making customer pay for something that they they have not known of its activiation or service initiated.
I have never given any kind of request nor accepted the marketing call.

I have still not paid the bills, fighting with them. Please help and guide me how i can resolve this.
I am ready to pay any amount if i have knowingly used the service.

    Regards
    Ssk

    Hi,

Please update me about the status. I am getting calls daily asking me to pay the dues and i am fed up of explaining the same story to all the executives who are calling me. They dont even understand when i say that there is an complaint in action and please refer to all previous compliants. Till date i have explained the problem to about 7 members when they have called me and no solution yet.
I dont even know what i should i do next....very very horrible experiance with Airtel.

Hope who calls me next will solve, if not...then.."Consumer Court" please help me.

    Thanks
    Sk

    Hello,

I have not seen any response to my request from Airtel yet. This is really a concern to see that the response is so bad.
Hope Airtel recognises this pathetic services.
