On the 22nd of Jan. 2011 - Rs. 30 has been deducted out of my prepaid balance for A SERVICE THAT I HAVE NOT ASKED FOR. I called the customer care at 12.15 in the night of 23 Jan. and was told that Rs. 30 has been deducted for some "Beauty Tips Service" and he agreed that this is wrongly deducted and a total sum of Rs.40 will be credited to my a/c (it also included some another service for which Rs. 10 was deducted from my balance this too without my knowledge) He assured me that it will be refunded into my account within 24 hours.
However even after 4 days time, there was only about Rs.10 refunded into my account. (it think it was refunded - cos it said 'promo talktime') And I have kept tab of the calls I have made from this promo talktime and they do not a/c to more than Rs. 10-hence the assumption.
I HAVE RECEIVED ABSOLUTELY NO SMS SAYING THAT THIS AMOUNT OF RS. 40 WAS BEING DEDUCTED FROM MY A/C EITHER !!
I AGAIN called customer care at 198 on 27 Jan. - BUT NOW THE CUSTOMER SERVICE GUY TOLD ME THAT IT WAS I WHO HAD APPLIED FOR THE SERVICE AND THERE IS NO WAY THAT THE MONEY CAN BE REFUNDED !! (WHEREAS - I HAVE NOT EVEN REQUESTED FOR ANY SERVICE AT ALL !!)
HE WAS RUDE, UNHELPFUL AND FINALLY ASKED ME TO HOLD THE LINE SAYING THAT HE WILL GET BACK, AND EVEN AFTER 15 MINUTES OF HOLDING THE LINE - HE DID NOT COME BACK ON LINE !!
I called back 198 again and this time spoke to another person - he too was JUST AS RUDE AND REFUSED TO EVEN UNDERSTAND THE CASE !! HE CUT THE LINE MID WAY MY SENTENCE SAYING THAT NOTHING CAN BE DONE ABOUT IT !!
IN ADDITION I HAVE ALSO SPENT A GOOD 45 MINUTES ON THESE 2 CALLS ON JAN.27 - AS IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET THROUGH 198 !!!
THIS IS NO LESS THAN A HARASSMENT OF YOUR CUSTOMERS !!!
IN THIS PREMISES, I SHALL LIKE THE COMPANY TO REFUND THE ABOVE AMOUNT IMMEDIATELY TO MY A/C

Note - Same was the case with my father too - who had a Reliance GSM prepaid service - inspite of constant reminders - Rs.60 has been continually been deducted from his balance, now frustrated with Reliance GSM - he has shifted to another service provider ! I too have similar thoughts now after my above experience with you
