I have taken a airtel postpaid connection in last week of may by paying Rs.300, and i will get Rs.100 deducted from my 4th month bill onwards for 3months. I had taken the connection for my friend and during address verification i told my friend is using it and i will be paying the bill. Two days later the outgoing calls for the new connection has been barred and when i contact the customer care centre they told user is different and you will not get your 300 back since it will get deducted from your 4th month bill only and nothing can be done for this number further. Since outgoing service is barred my friend has taken the SIM out and not using it.

Today when i called to the number to check whether it got deactivated i got a message it is switched off instead of "Number does not Exist". When i contact the customer care centre they told it will take 15days to get deactivate and rental will be charged.

May i know how can i proceed with this since i need to pay rental for the number that they have barred the service and it was just active for 2days. I have not been intimated about the usage of connection and its nowhere written in the appliaction form or brochure.
