Reliance 3G Woes

    Default Reliance 3G Woes

    I purchased a 3G data pack worth Rs. 1199 (5 GB) from a Reliance mobile store in Mumbai for my GSM prepaid number. The service worked perfectly well for the first 2 days after which it suddenly stopped. Since Saturday (25/12/10) I've not been able to use 3G or even normal GPRS/EDGE for that matter.

    I went to the same Reliance mobile store and tried inserting their SIM into my handset and 3G was working again without changing any settings. I thought the problem must be with my SIM then, so I purchased a replacement SIM for which I was charged Rs. 25. No luck though as it continued to say "Mobile Network Disconnected". I'm pretty sure the problem is with my number and not SIM or handset or settings since the same thing happens on other 3G-enabled handsets that I've tried on as well.

    My phone is a Spice Mi-300 with Android OS v2.1 (Eclair) and I'm using access point "rcomnet". The validity on my data pack is 30 days and I've lost 6 of them already (today is the 7th day of the service not working). Please help.

    P.S. There are spam bots crawling public forums like this hunting for mobile numbers so that they can be added to telemarketers' lists which is why I haven't posted my number. Please provide me with an email address and I shall forward you my number.

    Default Reliance 3G not working

    I bought Reliance 3G wireless internet with 1G prepaid about 5 days ago. it has not worked at all. It say "Data not connected". I have gone back to where I purchased it from, but no solution. I called technical support, the person created new profile, still did not work. Technical support person said there is some problem on backend side and said somebody will call within 48 hours(now its 72 hours and still waiting) to resolve the issue.
    Both the store and technical support person verified that the service is activated.

    Does anyone know what "Data not Connected" means? Please help.

    Default 3g not working on new sim.

    i am not able to get 3g speed on my new reliance sim where as my other friends are able to surf net with 3g speed in the same area on same PC. Please look into the matter. I am using SIM in Delhi/Gurgaon.

    Default data connection problem over 3g network

    I connected to reliance 3g from my HTC nexus one using rcomnet apn. It worked fine for 15 minutes even with wifi tethering and then suddenly the data connection was lost. Since then I am not able to connect to internet. I have a 15gb volume plan. please help me. I use my phone in delhi ncr region

    Exclamation Reliance 3G 21 MBPS dongle "Data not connected"

    I purchased a 21 mbps dongle from reliance about a week ago and still haven't been able to connect to the internet. I called the reliance care and they created a complain about 3-4 days back and still no one has gotten back to me. I keep getting "Data not Connected" message in the dialer. The reliance world store hasn't been able to help either. It didnt work on their demo laptop either.

    The reliance care confirmed that the service is activated but I am without internet even after a week. Can someone point me to what can be done about this?

    Default reliance 3G dongle problem. customer care having no knowledge

    I have purchased Reliance MF190 ZTE dongle

    It was working fine.. 2 days Back I complaint regarding dongle gets disconnected frequently.

    In ref with this I received a call today. He asked me to uninstall the software.. while uninstalling software ask me to remove the dongle.. but the person insist me to keep the dongle attached.
    I uninstall the software.. Now according to me the dialler software stored in that dongle has gone..! because I tried to connect this dongle with new machines the setup wizard is not coming... The machines with software already installed is starting the dialler automatically.

    But for new machines where the dialler is not installed .. I have to setup a internet connection manually.

    From 9th of March early morning, my internet connection on reliance 3g Data card is getting disconnected every 1 hour.
    Complaint was logged with customer care and after 3 days they advised that there is some issue in backend but no eta on when this will be resolved.

    Default Reliance 3G Dongle - Looting people

    I have purchased prepaid reliance 3g data card of rs. 2500 + 25 rs sim on 5th of january. it worked for one day then it suddenly stopped working, i went to web world from where i purchased they people first not ready to listen then after too many arguments they told me that my sim is of 32k i have to buy 64k sim for which they ppl charged me 100rs. more then it also not worked then they suggested me to switch over to postpaid so that they ppl resolve my problem sooner. now they activate 749 plan for 2gb on my request + 99 pack forcibly by telling me that this plan is necessary otherwise it will not work. i agreed it too but still not able to use it properly. lastly after too many of complaints i found that there is no proper network at my place. i logged complaint for same, they people told that it will be resolved with in two days and after that i waited for 18 days but not even a single effort for solution by these ppl even the appelate and nodal authorities are just name plates. they people dnt reply emails and also the phone numbers provided not in working. so at last i decided to terminate this thing and on 15th of march i visited web world for termination request and now they people are not able to terminate it. after lot many arguments and all, they give me 15 days time for termination. nw situation is still m nt sure that when i will get rid of this and i have to pay money without using proper service. i am ready to pay the billing amount bt i want assurance for termination and also want to terminate it as soon as possible. i have waisted much of my time and money on this thing. i dont want any solution. i want termination only.

    For the last 6 days i am getting extremely low speed in my Reliance 3G.I contacted the customer care number and they gave me a SR no 163224964 but till date the same has not been resolved.I contacted them once again and they told me that it will take 4 days time to resolve the issue.i fail to understand why it will take 4 days to resolve an issue?
    As a last resort i went to the Reliance Mobile shop from where i bought this Reliance 3 G.He changed my SIM card but still the max speed which i could get was 65 KBPS.i used to get a decent speed of 1 MBPS previously but since the last 6 days the speed is not increasing beyond 65 KBPS.
    Another customer with the same dongle was able to get more than 1 MBPS speed in the shop.That means there is some issue with my number.Even the shopkeeper agreed to it but could not offer any help.
    Another thing is that i was told at the time of purchase that i would be charged Rs.100 per GB beyond the free limit and to my utter surprise, i was charged Rs.1000 per GB .It came as a shock to me but still i agreed to pay since i had used.
    Firstly it was a mis-sell and now it is poor service.
