    Default Airtel number de-activated

    Hello,
    On 6th November 2010, I bought an Airtel SIM card for the number 8105109397, submitting all my documents. The number got activated but I barely used it (used only Rs 2.50 I guess). I started getting messages for re-submission of documents from 15th November onwards. I did re-submit my documents on 25th November for which I was not given any 'Acknowledgement'. So how can I prove that such a transaction occurred?

    Later when I consulted another Customer Care centre on 4th December, I was asked re-submit my documents again, which I did. But when I called up Customer Care, then Nodal office, then Appelate Office, I got the same response that my number has been de-activated for not submission of documents. They are telling me that the transaction on 25th is not valid because I did not receive an acknowledgement and that the transaction on 4th was late.

    However the only difference in information I got was that the Customer Care claimed my number has been recycled and is now under someone else's name which the other offices claim as just de-activated. I've been told that I cannot receive my number back. I've spent considerable amount for buying the SIM card and talktime. Getting back at least the number or the money would be enough.

    Angry phone not deactivated

    I was posted to Pathankot and there I had, unfortunately, taken an airtel postpaid connection. My no was 9779193525. I got posted out to Africa at a short notice and I did not get time to pay the bill which was Rs 4200/-. My wife, who is now settled in Pune got a call from airtel Chandigarh and reminded her about the pending bill. The person who called also told her that she could pay Rs 3000/- and the rest of the amount would be settled.

    So my wife paid the said amount at an airtel collection outlet in Pune on the 21st of Aug. She also told the person at the counter that she needed to disconnect the connection as there was no one in pathankot. this person said that the connection was already discontinued for non payment of bill and that it will not be started again. So she left without taking the same on writing.

    I came on leave on 30 Oct 2010. On approximately 17 Nov I got a call from supposedly a sub inspector from delhi police station saying that a case of fraud has been filed against me for non payment of airtel bill for an amount of Rs 5500/-. that is when i came to know that my number has not been discontinued. now the actual pending amount was rs 2600/-

    I called up the nodal officer in mumbai. Mr praveen answered the call and he said he would get back to me by evening. i again called up the nodal officer after 2 such evenings had passed. this time mr aman answered and i got a similar reply. he also said that he would inform praveen to call me and it would be done in not more than 2 hours and i gave him all my contact details. after waiting for half a day i called back, only to be told that praveen has gone out for lunch. after waiting for 2 more days i again called up the nodal officer. this time an even more efficient mr shiva answered the call and he said " SIR, I GIVE YOU MY WORD THAT PRAVEEN WILL CALL YOU ASAP". And i've been waiting since then. its been 7 days since my last conversation with the Officer.

    i had given the details of the sub inspector who had threatened me.

    mr praveen also had told me that i will not be required to pay any money and that he will look into the matter. 1 month after this incident, today on the 15 th of dec, my wife gets a call from some inspector and some lawyer saying that she will have to appear in court for a hearing on the same case in delhi. she has undergone great amount of mental tension because of this.

    it is requested that along with the computer data the person in the nodal office should be talked to, to get a clear picture of what has happened.

    Angry My Airtel Number Disconnected

    Hi

    This is Murali Krishnan and my old Airtel mobile No. +91-9894229765

    I was using this mobile number for around 4 years. In the mean time they call me and ask to re-submit my documents as per the new government laws and procedures and i did the same.

    It was smooth running, suddenly past month (November) my No. was disconnected with unspecified reason.

    I reported to the customer care and they are saying that they unable fetch the details of my specified number and the funniest thing is they ask me whethere it is a Airtel No. or not.

    I remember the validity is upto 2010 and balance was about Approx. Rs.300.

    I need my number back with the balance amount and the validity.

    Please help as there is no proper answer from Airtel.
