from past 5years, From day one to till 31-10-10 it was in “MANIPAL OFFER”,
Tariff was
I-I 50paisa
I-O 50paisa
I-L 1Rs
100msg’s per day @ 1 paisa/ msg
No rental
The validity ended on 31-10-2010
I was proud to use this sim card like people use vintage cars, because it’s not possible to get same tariff to others….
I knew that my validity will end up on 31-10-2010 so I called customer care before 11-10-2010 and took information about how to continue in the same tariff. Customer Support Executive suggested if I recharge Rs.197, I will get Rs.50 talk time and will retain the same plan for one more year.
On 31-10-2010 the outgoing was barred so on very next morning I called Idea Customer Care from my airtel no (9535224277) to get conformation of rs197 recharge coupon.
1st Agent
The agent informed as there is no recharge amount of Rs. 197 and need to recharge Rs. 13 to continue Idea service. He also informed Rs 197 offer doesn’t exist now when I explained him about previous call with other CSE (about recharge of Rs 197 – Rs. 50 TT and continuation of same plan).
As per the second suggestion, I recharged my connection with Rs.13 and checked. I was very happy as “Manipal plan” tariff was retained. But when I checked the same once again in the evening I was shocked to find that my connection has been changed to different plan.
I feel Rs.13 offer is (“Home zone” tariff) good to people who are outside Bangalore.

For further cross checking I called customer care 9844012345 from my airtel no (9535224277).
2nd agent
Call ended up because of insufficient balance in my Airtel connection before I get any help from CSE.
Again I called from my idea no (9844882996) to 9844012345.
3rd agent
He told that Rs.197 plan exists currently. So I asked him to escalate this issue against the one who misguided me. He told that is not possible from his end, after several requests he told he will loop his team lead to address the issue. He put me on hold without my permission and very next minute disconnected the call. I was unhappy by the service offered by Idea customer care. But I didn’t gave up; I called customer care again
4th agent
Even the next agent promised to transfer the call to Team Lead, placed me on hold and disconnected the call. I was frustrated to the core. I called the worst CC once again
5th agent
He transferred the call to Team Leader without disconnecting it (quite opposite to regular practice).
Team Lead accepted that the problem was arise from CSE, and will arise compliant on him about this issue. Also I was shocked when TL informed that they can’t switch my connection back to “Manipal plan”. I felt very bad. Even though they accept it’s their fault, they are not fixing the issue. Even they are least bothered to provide alternate solution. They can’t think from a customer perspective. They don’t care about customer time. They are reluctant to customer problems.
After this horrible experience, I’m thinking not to continue as Idea customer. Sometimes even I feel it was company’s planned trap to migrate customers to crap tariff plans which will pump more money to company. “What an Idea Sirji?”
My experience clearly describes the professional expertise of its personnel, IDEA’s value and vision towards customer.
I lost my offer and seeing stars in the morning…so am expecting your valuable replay as soon as possible.
Am thinking to end up this 5 year relation ship with Idea Company and never ever will come back or prefer others to buy ADITYA BIRLA GROUP’S any product….

Today on 12th nov 2010, I called to above no which is mentioned in mail, but I got shock I got this tone from other side that “The number you have dial does not exist”
i come to know that the number belongs to idea nodal officer karnataka from idea website

I experienced similar kind of issue and IDEA customer is really worst they doesn't respond properly and misguide customers

now how much shall i recharge to retain the same tariff plan.. please help me..i am really fed up of the service i like idea... but due to the issue i faced recently i am very much annoyed.
