Sir on 19th Oct. 2010 vodafone activated caller tune on my number without my permission and deducted Rs. 45. I did not notice my inbox at that time but on 25th Oct. i noticed that caller tune has been activated on my number. When i contacted the customer care they said it has been activated by you. You have dialed *567# from your mobile. But I haven't dialed any number for caller tune activation. Dialing *567# sets vodafone default tune as your caller tune. I want to say why somebody will pay Rs. 45 for Vodafone default tune. It's a vodafone trick to cheat customers. They have deducted my balance numerous times in similar way and on contacting them, they just say you have dialed *567#.
When I told the customer care executive that i faced the same problem many times earlier also, they adviced me to suspend the number and told me that if u want to talk to senior member then stay online. I waited at least half an hour but nobody from vodafone senior member picked the phone . This has happened earlier also many times, they just connect line to senior member and nobody bother to pick phone. I am very busy person and i don't have enough time to do a long conversation with them.
On 26th Oct. I again contacted the customer care about the same issue, the phone was picked by Mr. Chander. His answer was same, that you have dialed *567# and if you have any complaint you can talk to our senior member. But this time I refused to talk to senior member and requested for the reference number. Earlier he told vodafone do not give any reference number but later he gave me the following reference number 121166223 and told me that you cannot complain by giving this reference number.
I want the consumercourt.in to take action as soon as possible because vodafone is cheating me and i also found various complaints against vodafone regarding activation of caller tunes on consumer complaint forums.
