    Default Airtel service deactivation without prior notice

    Dear Sir/Madam,

    I am using my Airtel postpaid connection (9937355500) since April 2008. In mid of November 2011, I submitted a request in Airtel Relationship center (Jaydev Vihar, XIMB Square, Bhubaneswar) to change my number from postpaid to prepaid. I submitted all the requested documents then and there only and cleared all the outstanding bills. But on 2nd Dec. 2011 evening I found my Airtel service deactivated. There were no prior calls or messages from Airtel in this regard. when I called Customer care they told me to resubmit my Address proof documents again. I told them that I am on roaming and it will be difficult for me to ask anybody to resubmit the docs. I told them I had submitted the documents and asked them to check with the relationship center as its their own center but they refused to do so. Moreover, I called many times at the relationship center (Shyam 9938253630) but all calls went unanswered.

    Though it is a customer harassing act, I asked somebody to submit the documents again on my behalf at the same place in Bhubaneswar on 3rd Dec. They promised that it will be activated in half an hour. But till now (5th Dec, 1m) my Airtel service has not been activated.

    Please take immediate action to activate my number and take serious action against Airtel for this type of irresponsible response.

    Default SIM registration failed error AIRTEL no 7389462507

    I have been using 7389462507 since July mid 2011. I have submitted all the documents to the dealer. The airtel people have conformed my details through a phone call one or two months back and now I get the SIM REGISTRATION FAILED error.

    Please reinstate my number / sim.
