Our life has become more comfortable with technologocal development but if we
do not updated ourselves there is every possibility of cheating
U R right, these companies use unfair means and get benefitted from our lack
of awareness which can be easily avoided by sparing some time in their
CONDITIONS APPLY and FINE PRINTS
But dear, I dont thing you will win if you outright file a case as per the
details which you have shown here
As u know all the telecom services are controlled by TRAI(Telephone Regulating
Authority of India) and if TRAI has no clear rules regarding the validity ,
talktime , recharge coupens , service taxes etc then it is very difficult to
crack the nut
I will share two real incidents with me
1) I am having Airtel connection and once I noticed that my pulse time is 52
sec instead of standard 60 sec, I immediately informed to Airtel customercare
and from next time till date I didnt face such problem
2) I did shopping with ICICI credit card and paid whole amount ONLINE , but,
by mistake I dropped a cheque (ICICI Bank saving account) of same amount in
nearby ICICI ATM drop box and bank accepted my request within no time
Surprisingly, after 3 days I checked my credit card account and found that
credit card merchant banker has imposed a penalty of Rs 280 as " cheque dishonor
" though it was STOP PAYMENT and how can they charge when full payment made to
them online
I talked no of times to their customercare team and forced them to take this
issue in consumer forum and they reversed their illogical penalty, I was so hurt
and cancelled the card to teach them a lesson that today's customer will not
bear such cheating
But one thing is sure, you can not fight unless you are not aware with the
rules and loopholes in the rules
