My brother in law had purchased Idea Sim Card from Karthik Collections at Marve Road, Malad West, Mumbai 400 095. And at the time of purchasing the card the Shopkeeper explained the tariff plan as Idea to Idea the cost will be 0.40 paise other network will be 0.60 paise and from 11.00 pm to 6.00 am Idea to Idea is free.
So he purchased the card and asked for the bill from the Shopkeeper, he said that "iske bill nahi aata hain" so he took the card and started using the same. The same day around 12.10 pm call was made to his relatives who are also using the same network but after talking to them he found that the call charges are deducted which seems to be free as explained by the shopkeeper. So very next day he made call to Idea Helpline and they provided the information that the shopkeeper has provided wrong information and tariff plan is 0.60 paise to all network and from 11.00 pm to 6.00 am Idea to Idea is free. Immediately after talking to Idea Helpline he dialled the Idea Network relative and after talking to them the message displayed last call charges as 0.60 paise, so he again dialled the helpline number and provided the information to them and asked him to hold the line and later on the provided the information that they dont have records of todays and the line got disconnected and after that i was facing network problem and i could not contact them.
However today i tried the Idea Helpline numbe and today they provided me the Information that my card does has such tariff plan and asked me to approach the shop from where i had purchased the card. And when i approached the shopkeeper he started talking rudely that this is not his look out and that is companys lookout. I told the shopkeeper that i am going to Police station to lodge the complaint so he is saying Jidar Jane ka hain wahan jaa police chowky jaa nahi toh mantri ke paas ja.

Dear Sir,
Thank you for your reply. No i dont have anything in writing but i would like to share the information that whenever a call is made to Idea Helpline or to any service provideer the same is recorded. And in that call center gentleman who has entertained has admitted the same. And secondly this plan is provided to everyone who buys a new sim card.

I had taken New SIM in Jan 2011 and opted DND registration not to get commercial calls and got many calls from Idea for caller tunes (Daily 1 or 2 calls each from different numbers) & 120+ SMS for offers on various tariff in a period of 3months. After email complaint the number has reduced a lot and once again started with certain gap and when I sent a mail scolding (mentioned all staff are Bastards) then the number of calls and SMS have been increased. I complaint to NODAL officer but not change and I Complained to "National consumer complaints" then also no response. Always I got irrelevant replies. I request Please don’t take new SIM from Idea and if anyone is getting promotional SMS/Calls then change the provider.

I am using idea for past 8 months.signal strength is very poor.any how i have managed with that.i had put ratecutter of rs.149 in this plan idea to idea calling is free for one month,but i have put the rate cutter is on october 15th but i am unable to call to idea no from today.can any one can help me out in this.
