Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Your number was not registered under the Do Not Disturb (DND) registry earlier. We have activated the same on your number on 22nd May 2010. However, please note that it would take 45 days from the day of registration for the DND to come in to effect. We have also updated your statuses within our systems and we assure you that the promotional calls or SMS from Vodafone would stop shortly. Hi Vodaphone,
My number is 8017178371 (Calcutta) bought in August 2010.
1. Cricket match SMS was automatically activated. I called customer care. They confirmed it will be turned off. Money was deducted. Sent the deactivation SMS as was asked. Still now I keep on getting Cricket info.
2. SMS package was activated without permission. My mistake was to call back to a "missed call". I called up helpdesk but they have no info why it was activated. Still now they keep on activating one or the other SMS pack.
3. Now I am at Bangalore, they keep on calling me from automated system which makes me listen to some songs. Each time they deduct roaming charges for accepting such calls. The numbers keep on changing, so that you never know it is a call from your work or not.

I registered for DND one month ago. No effect.
Summary: I am gathering all the info. Waiting when they will show respect to customer.

Hello Sir/Madam,

I have been using my vodafone prepaid mobile number for the past three years. Two weeks ago, I had lost my Mobile and I have informed to vodafone chennai customer care to block the number.They blocked the same and after a week I opted for a new sim and they asked me to recharge my account for 50 rupees as a charges for new sim card.I have done the topup also, few days later a customer care executive had called and told me that my number is active in prepaid and already somebody is using and they cannot give prepaid number instead they can give postpaid number on the same and convinced me to accept the same,since I need the same number and I thought I can change it after three months to prepaid and accepted the same.They have come for verification and took every documents and not at all activating the sim. Hence I request you to give me a suggestion for getting the same prepaid number.
