Angry Worst Customer Service of Vodafone (Cheating in Sales)

    Dear Sir / Madam,
With great dissatisfaction I herewith would like to complaint against Vodafone services. This post may help to other customers too to get alerted from fraud / cheat in sales and After-Sales-Service.

I have purchased a BlackBerry 8310 Smartphone from Vodafone Stores in Ranchi on 21/01/2010. During the purchase, the sales personnel has assured me for GPRS, GPS, BlackBerry & e-mail Services in Pre-Paid connection. They asked 02 - 03 days time for Activation of all the services. But after that they have refused to do the same and started asking to convert the connection in Post-Paid to avail these services.

Secondly, no other SIM of other Service Provider is supported by the set, stating “Invalid SIM Card” on the display. Thus I cannot switch to any other Service Provider and my investment is totally in vein. While this complaint is made as Customer Complaint, I have been advised to wait for 2-3 days again but till date the problem is not resolved by the Vodafone, neither I am getting any positive response from the Executives. Now they have stopped to pick up my phone calls too.

Thirdly, Vodafone Customer Care entertains Complaint booking on Chargeable basis only from their IVR system, where it should be through Toll-Free. Toll-Free No. is used for Customer Feedback only.

I am putting my complaint in this forum for a justice autonomously against Fraud / Cheating in Sales and After-Sales-Service.

    Dear Sir,
I do not have any written document of their offer, because during selling the product, they the person has somehow influenced me with his polished words. But if the conversations made from my cell Nos. 09431101704 & 09955998526 to their nos. can be traced, the actual happening can be analyzed. The conversations are made in Bengali language.

The Nos. of conversations are made to :
    09709000225 (Mr. Bishwanath Das)
    09709018219 (Mr. Devmalya Das)

I had some SMS request from my vodafone no. 08877172111 to the above no. which can be forwarded or produced for further analysis.

As per instructions from Mr. Devmalya Das, I have forwarded my IMEI no. to 09709018219 to resolve the problem of Service Provider Lock on 11/02/2010. As assured over SMS, the problem will be seen shortly but in the late night of 11/02/2010, another SMS from the stated no has came that – “The Office will be closed for next 03 days and I shall be intimated on Monday, 15th Feb, 2010.”

Sir, I am really fed up of this type of fraudulent dealings made by Vodafone / their service executives. My investment on this seems to be totally in vein. And moreover, I am feeling too much mentally embarrassed.

I seek help from suitable authority to deal with above situation.

    With best regards,

    Dear Sir,
Thanks for the reply. Do you suggest to give mail on this to Vodaphone and then revert back to you ?

Your kind guidance will help me out to utilize my gadget. Shall I preserve the SMS made from either side, which can be produced on demand ?

    With best regards.

Vodafone prepaid service at its worst.
    9769585897
I am having above vodafone connection for a year. Bought it when I got in IIT Bombay, SJMSoM for MBA. Vodafone representatives opened stall here a year ago and I bought a sim from them then. After using it for a year - All my banking details, all utility service are registered with this number by now, suddenly on 23 july 2010, my connection was stopped showing status "SIM CARD REGISTRATION FAILED". So here I was thinking why do I need registration. So I'm calling call center as to ask why my service was banned. The executive said I need to resubmit my ID and address proof.

So this is Status 1: My service is banned without any intimation thereof! IIT student's credit to buy a Prepaid SIM is falling short!!!!

As we are supposed to attend Continuum entire day on 24 and 25 July 2010, I did not go to customer care. I am of busy these days. I have another TATA spare phone . So on 25 July, I get 15 calls from home to my TATA number while I'm in seminar. Once I'm having break from seminar, I call home just to know that my dad is leaving to Mumbai as my number is not with me and somebody else is using it and h is not able to contact me.Ofcourse after I talked to him he got relief .

So this is Status 2: My SIM is disconnected from service and it's sold to someone else., inspite having around 300 rupees balance and on service.

As I have to attend seminar again after break, I did not call my own number. But after finishing all lectures I call my number. Swapnil Naik speaks from other side!, and says I just bought this number yesterday. Bingo!! Vodafone just sold the number I've been using for a year!!
So now I'm calling call center again. Executive asks me all the details about my number, my name, last recharge amount, mode of transaction and tells me that this number is registered on my name and I DON'T NEED TO WORRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????

So this is Status 3: My SIM is disconnected from service, My number is sold out in market, and someone is using my number which is registered on my name.

And call center guy tells me I have to go customer service center. He can't help me! And
On sunday, no Customer Service Center is open. So I'm waiting till Monday

    Angry vodafone sucks

    Dear
members,i'm using vodafone since 2006. At that time there is no other alternative connections except airtel. After a few months I found that vodafone was charging high for any service.Call,sms,internet.I asked thier executives to do something against this problem. And as usual ,they did not respond.Suddenly in 2008,vodafone started to deduct my balance without any notice .Then I changed my sim card. Switched to reliance. But I always recharged my vodafone number by rs/10 or 20 to continue my service.Because that number was my first number and it was very easy to remember. Now I'm counting days for MNP. When that day'll come then I will be the happiest person in this world.
vodafone opens a lots of vodafone stores rather than satisfy customers by their service.Vodafone's daily 4 rupees pack is a big joke. No talk time offer,no festival offer...nothing. They can do only three things...1) Charge high for any kind of service {No extra or free service} . 2) Deduct money from balance ,any time with out notice. 3) Building vodafone stores to sell sim cards ,phones and others at very high rate,to convince new customers about their product & services,to ignore the particular problems of customers AND at the end .....to say " May I Help you in any other matter !" All the Things They Do Only For " Happy To Help "..! To Themselves...
But now the time is changing..Mobile Number Portability - is a ray of hope. All We Can Do Only One Thing...The Waiting Game......

    Angry Vodafone - the cheater

i am using Vodafone prepaid connection from last two years. only for its good network coverage. in this duration they deduct almost more than rs 100 illegally from my account. i am from Kolkata. they first provide caller tune without the customers permission, and then charge for that. they did it twice with me in last two years. they also forcefully provide the value added services like sports alerts or astro and charge for that. they also ignore the request whenever we called them regarding this. They just telling that the we the customer are liable for this. this is happened not only to me but a;so with the 4 of my friends. They are also suffering with their vodafone services. Vodafone follows a technique to deduct money...they did it just after the recharge is made so that the account balance not getting negative. And there service charge (call, sms, mms etc) is much higher than any other service provider. we are the students. we are unable to afford these "cheating charges". So thats enough. We all now going move to the airtel and docomo by using MNP. i dont have any idea about airtel. but i am also using docomo during last six months. There service are fair and cheap but problem is network coverage. So think twice before going for vodafone.

    Angry Vodafone Cheats Indians

Had a similar problem too...Had taken a Vodafone Wireless Internet connection no 9819062134. It was a pain to use as it was very slow compared to my brother's Reliance Internet . Also, it gave a lot of trouble as it just wouldn't work everytime I tried using it outside Maharashtra.

Whenever I  called vodafone customercare or should say 'DON't CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER' , it would take a long time to get a real person , who was absolutely no help. They would say ' remove the sim from the device , put it in a regular phone and manually select vodafone' . Thus was a pain to do buy it worked a couple of times.
It was a big business loss as I couldn't access the net on trips.Disgusted with Vodafone's horrible attitude and service , on 26th feb 11 I sent a letter to cancel to the connection and paid the bal of Rs 770/- as on that day and was assured that this was the END of my troubles with vodafone.
But multinational vodafone has a fine tuned mechanism to cheat Indian customers . I kept getting bills for 3-4 months and then the cancelled the number.
Then the funny part started , the reactivated the connection by charging a ' reconnection ' fee. That's adding insult to injury. Today got a call from a goonda type character , who says that " they know how to remove money" and will send his goonda friends home to collect.
If that happens , I plan to call the police and make a formal complaint as I DON't like being cheated specially by these big faceless corporations .

your Complaint service doesn't even accept my complaint, it says invalid number...Disgusting...Why do you guys make it so difficult to talk to a real person.all stupid autoreplies! Airtel is so much better, you get a real person instantly. Really sick of Vodafone!!!!! planning to shift the all my other phones from your network...really sick attitude. call me on 02243458000 12noon to 6pm if you really are serious about solving the issue
