    dear sir/madam,

    i bought a airtel connection in last week of october 2009 for my business purposes. i bought it from our local nukkad shop. i did all the documentation and gave him my id proof, copy of rent agreement and photographs. As he never gave me any receipt for any connection i have taken from him, i didn't asked for any receipt from him. neither for the documentation nor for the amount i paid. in november i got a call from airtel. i couldn't figure out that it was a call from airtel for verification purpose. because the guy was not talking like a professional and was asking strange questions though i don't have issues with that. he ended the conversation stating that your documents are not matching with the information provided by you. so consult your retailer. i did exactly what he said. the retailer told me that fault is not from his side and i need to talk to customer care. i had a word with customer care and they advised me to go to retailer again. meanwhile i got busy in some other activities which were requiring my attention now. and in the meantime my connection got disconnected by airtel.
    i visited the airtel customer relationship center. the executive told me that nothing she can do about it because its too late by now to reactivate this connection. NOW my problem is, we are running a small business and it depends a lot on our communication medium, specially on mobile phones. we have got our information brochure printed and distributed already. and that number was mentioned on it.
    now please tell us a way to reactivate this number because if we will not get it, it may cause a great damage to our business.

    Default Network Issue with Airtel.

    Hi All

    I have been running around with my cellular service provider AIRTEL for more than a month now to get my network issue resolved.

    I registered a complaint with Airtel 29591901 (Reference number) on December 28/11/2009. I had Airtel team coming to my home and verify the network strength and found that the in-door coverage is weak and the call gets disconnected often. Airtel did promise me to get this resolved by December 3rd (03/12/2009).But they did not. When I called up the customer care they said they will arrange a call back from respective team to check on the same and wanted me to wait for 48 hours .Nobody ever called me back. I called up the customer care again and said that I was promised for a call back from technical team but I did not get any either from technical team or the customer care. They again apologized for it and did say there will be someone who will contact me again in another 48 hours.

    Nobody ever called up again . So I called the customer care again and I said I wanted to talk to Sheshadri (Team Lead) .I did speak to him and he promised me a call back with an update from the technical team. He never called me up .I called again after 48 hours he said he will not be able to update anything on this since it is not his responsibility.

    So I called up the customer care and said wanted to speak to sheshadri’s manager Pallavi (Manager). She promised me that she will send an email to the technical team and get me an updated and requested for 48 hours . She never called me up. I called up the customer care and informed that I am awaiting a call back from Pallavi (Manager) regarding the network issue.

    Now I have been told that she will not be in office for another 5 months.

    I am trying to get this resolved, kindly do consider my request and raise your voice so that someone can hear it and help me on it.


    Note: Every call I made I have requesting for a interaction ID or a number so that I can keep for reference .All I was said is 29591901 (Reference number).The worst part was when I said I will take this to TRAI. The only answer was even if you take it to TRAI we will have to get the things done but not TRAI.

    I stay in Kagadasapura Bangalore 560093 .

    Airtel have already received complaints regarding this issue.

    Default Documentation to keep the phone active 9910884880

    I got a sms from Airtel that I needed to submit my photo id proof and photo again after 4 years of having the connection.

    The representative who came to collect the documents would not take the documents as I did not have a photo handy and was extremely rude.

    The outgoing calls were barred in next 2 days, I talked to customer care and told them that the documents had been submitted while taking connection , however it was stated that they required them again after a span of time.

    I went with my documents to the centre stated by Airtel ,they refused to have them collected now,The centre owner would not recieve documents, then he required office id card copy which I provided, he also wanted decalaration on company letter head ??????????.

    That evening when I talked to yet another customer care executive he said these were needed as it was a corporate conncetion to my surprise.

    I was guided to the nodal office at this point, where they said since billing and residence address are seperate , I needed to submit my bank statement or my credit card statement that was being received with company address as that is the billing address on my phone bill.I do not know about address verification but why would I need to submit my bank documents that also duly stamped by my banker.

    Initially I was told I could not even have my address updated on my connection, 10 minutes later I was told I could fill some more documents and have my address changed, and in case I was un-able to receive bill at home as I am in office during work days, submit one more request after that and have bill media changed.When enquired would it not be easier to get a new connection , I was told it would be a problem for me as I MUST HAVE GIVEN MY NUMBER IN SO MANY PLACES AND IT IS IMPORTANT FOR ME, if that is not a threat and coercion nothing is.

    My grievience is that what started as photo id proof and photo submission had changed with each call that I had with customer care.I am still un-aware of what re-course to take.

    I have been an airtel customer for past 10 years, and this connection is 4 years old, all bills have been duly received at the billing address and paid in a timely fashion by me.I just need a final resolution to this.

    I can provide licence copy, PAN card copy and photograph of myself, and as a proof of my billing address my official id card.

    Default avoidng request of disconnection and sending bills evn after disconnection request

    hello sir/madam,
    I have been a very pleased customer of airtel till i wanted to disconnect my connection because of some migration issues.The first time when i made a req to disconnect my connection was on 27 jan with ref no.28892848 ,but i have been getting call from airtel saying you have to pay the rental of feb-march ,now i again req for disconnection on 27 march with ref no.30947706 ,the executive from airtel told me that your req has been submited nd your connection will be disconnected within 7 days. I thought may b this time they'ill make it.But this time also it dint happen now i again made a req on 7 april (31309222),15 april(31617540) .But my connection got disconneted at 6 may 2010.Now they are saying that you have a due ammount of 3214 Rs. and giving me discount because i dint use the connection.
    Some of the executive are telling me that it takes 3 months to get your connection disconnected. I cannt understnd what is this goin on ..they aremaking me fool or wat.I m really messed up.i really need a solution ...WHY WOULD I PAY FOR THE THING I DINT USE AND REQUESTED FOR ITS DISCONNECTION AFTER MAKING FULL DUE PAYMENT.

    PLZ RESOLVE THE ISSUE..

    sir,

    our PRI line has been disconnected because of some promotional message sent thro that ,however we nevr received any communication and without informing they disconnected,In my opinion they should provide reasopnable opprotunity of bring heard and only then take up any action.pls suggest.

    My Airtel pre-paid number (+91 95350 53791) was disconnected more than a week ago.Repeated calls to customer care did not help so i had to call up the nodal office.A nodal officer named Sushma told me that as some detail in my enrollment form was wrong it was disconnected.This despite me submitting all my document properly and also getting a verification call from their end.The connection was taken more than 3 months back.I was asked to go to an Airtel office and get a duplicate Sim card for the same number.The next day on reaching the airtel relationship store(in Ghandhi Bazar, Bangalore) I spoke to an executive there named Santosh and in fact made him speak with the nodal officer i spoke to the previous day for instructions.Inspite of being told by the Nodal officer to give me a new Sim card he insisted that he could activate my old Sim itself and made me submit my documents again.My number was not activated even after waiting for 48 hours.So i called up the nodal office and spoke to the same officer and explained the situation.She called up the Airtel relationship officer and on enquiry found out that he made the mistake by not giving me a duplicate Sim. He was asked to deliver it to my office the next day.But the next day when i tried to call him his phone was switched off and I was forced to go back to the Airtel relationship center and was given a new Sim.On asking when it would get activated the executive there(Santosh) claimed that as i was getting the duplicate SIM for free( I do not know why he did not charge me) i should not complain about things like this!!!!.Repeated calls to him to activate the new sim also failed.I again called up the Nodal office and spoke to someone called Deepak.who told me he would solve my problem and get back.Now when i call the nodal office and request for any of the two (Deepak and Sushma) to call back they just avoid my calls.It has been more than 48 hours since i took my new Sim card and am not able to call either the nodal office or the airtel relationship store guy for my activation.Further they refuse to give me a complaint number stating that my phone is right now disconnected.Unfortunately as this is my official number I am not able to ditch the whole thing and get myself a fresh connection.(Surely not Airtel!!!)

    Default Disconnection of Lifetime Sim card 9895864280

    Dear Sir,



    I had subscribed to Lifetime validity service SIM card from airtel mobile in 2005. The cost of the SIM card was RS 199 and I had paid extra money RS 3000 for life time validity. I work abroad and since last 5 years I have been using this number only when I visit kerala.During my last visit to kerala on May 21, 2010, I tried to connect the SIM but it said inactive SIM.

    I had addressed the matter to airtel customer care center. The concerned person there replied that the local customer center in Irinjalakuda,can provide a duplicate SIM for the same number for which a minimum amount will be charged for the new SIM. I had visited irinjalakuda office and they agreed to activate the SIM but they requested a white paper complaint and I had given complaint. Again when I contacted the concerned authority they spoke about some backend rectification.

    When I reported this issue to the nodal officer she says my connection was disconnected because of nil usage and now it has already been alloted to another customer.I always keep sufficient balance amount too before leaving.If it was disconnected due to nil usage why didnt they disconncet my connection all these years even when I didnt use it when I left for abroad.Now suddenly they decide to disconnect the lifetime validity service that too without informing me. Then for what purpose do customers provide all their address,ID card copy etc. ?

    I wanted to know what action can be taken against Airtel for this kind of cheating.

    Default airtel connection

    airtel has deactivated my connection number 9805423453 without any prior notice when contacted it was said connection is deactivated due to non verification .the number qwas obtained three months back and i see no reason to verify in such a short time .they are harrasing me n not activating my number ,i am not in shimla from where i took the connection .am facing a lot of problems .kindly guide me.
