Reliance Prepaid Mobile Recharge Dear Members,
I hold a prepaid mobile of Reliance. When I purchased
it, the terms was that while your talk time is limited
to one month for every recharge, the incoming calls
would continue to be received even beyond one month so
long you have your balance money available in your
account. Only that you cannot talk beyond the charge
period of one month. I don't generally consume the
full recharge money within the specified one month and
though my talking was barred after one month, I used
to continue to receive the incoming calls even beyond
one month.
But subsequently, Reliance evidently changed their
policy and even incoming calls were barred after the
one-month-period till it is recharged. And for the
callers, the message given is the "the number is
temporarily out of service". For example, the
validity of my last recharge expired on 4.12.05 and
though I am still left with more than Rs. 100 as
balance out of my last recharge, I can neither make
calls nor receive any.
I don't know whether it is the same with other Service
Providers also.
Even if it be, what I don't understand is that what is
given is one-month talk time and not
one-month-listening time. So long my money is still
with the service provider, why should they bar me even
from receiving the calls? I personally consider it an
injustice.
Can I please have the considered views of the Members?

I had exactly same experience with AirTel Prepaid service. My incoming
and outgoings were suspended. I had no choice but to recharge it.
Can anything be done this?

I know that we discuss about problems and their solutions here. I am digressing
slightly... but one of the solution for pre-paid phone is Daulphin services of
MTNL. It keeps extending the validity period as per usage. It's very convenient
for basic mobile service.

I know what you have to go through because i am also in the same
situation. If you look closely in the recharge voucher it mentions
that the incoming and outgoing with amount of talk time is valid only
for the duration of the voucher. (Rs 330 gives you 30 days worth of
outgoing and incoming). Its really strange that they mention about
the grace period when they dont have any to offer. Maybe something
should be done about this false practice.

Reliance Prepaid Mobile I am using Reliance Prepaid Mobile having no 93188-53949. My Complaint is
that Reliance is cutting 30 Rs. Per month from Oct-2008 in the name of
Subscription charges/Renewal charges of Devotional Services and till May
-2009 they have not given any message to me that i have taken this type of
service and they are taking charges of Rs. 30/- Per month. After contacting
to consumer Cell at *333 they have refused to give the charges back to me ,
even though i told them that i have never subscribed this type of service
nor i have used this service for 1 minute. I also asked them why they have
not given any message on my mobile if they are taking Rs. 30 Per month and
if i have subscribed this service ?
After calling to the senior at *333 the senior executive of RELIANCE told
me that they have deducted Rs. 30 in OCT -2008 , NOV 2008 DEC -2008 ,
MAR-2009 , MAY -2009. It is very suprising that if i have subscribed this
service from oct -2008 to till date then they would have deducted money in
jan-2009 & feb-2009 also.
I have also requested the person to give all my charges they have taken from
me without my information, but all in vain & replied me to go for consumer
court
