I have taken a prepaid connection from Tata Docomo five months' back. On February 21, 2011, i got a message from Docomo that Rs. 120 had been deducted from my available balance as I had subscribed to Call Me Tunes. I have never placed a request for such a service, hence, was shocked to find the amount deducted. I called Docomo Customer Service and placed a complaint. The customer service executive was rude over the phone, but informed me that my complaint had been registered. Within minutes of this call, I got another message from Docomo thanking me for downloading a song through Call Me Tunes. I had to call Docomo customer service again. This time, the executive on the phone informed me that earlier, my complaint had not been registered (no reasons given for this mistake from their end). He took my complaint afresh and gave me a complaint number. He also assured me that the issue would be resolved within 24 hours. I waited for two days without any message from Docomo. On the third day, when I called the call centre again, I was informed that within the next one hour, I'd have the money being credited back to my account. However, after that, I have called Docomo twice, and have also registered a complaint on their website. Till now, there has been no response from anyone nor has the money been credited back to my balance.
I don't understand how a service provider can simply deduct money from a customer's existing balance without any request or confirmation from them? And despite repeated calls and complaints, there is simply no response given. From all the service providers I've dealt with, I've found the serv ice provided by Docomo to be by far the worst.
