    Default Airtel Customer privacy abuse and criminal offenses.



    Dear
    Sir,

    I have been a loyal airtel customer (9892279223)
    since the past decade as their records would show. I had recently changed my
    phone plan from prepaid to billing because one of your franchisee dealers had
    called up with a new plan in airtel. The above mentioned dealer is Bhumika
    Enterprises situated at Malad
    (West) and the person calling was Karan (9967006450) who then sent an airtel
    executive with a valid ID card to fill up my form and complete the formalities.
    I furnished my documents to him and since the person had an ID and airtel
    customer forms, I had no reason to doubt the motives of this enterprise. My
    verification
    was done in due course and my billing services were activated, further proving
    the credibility of this enterprise. However, barely a week after this I received
    welcome
    letters for three add on numbers
    booked under my name without my consent and
    on the same day I had Mr. Bharat from Delta Agency visit my residence to verify
    address for the three numbers:

    9004391773

    9004651558

    I
    had no knowledge about these three numbers since I had not applied for these.
    The agency told me that they are provided info from the sales dept. of airtel.
    I immediately called Shekhar Gawde (9892800364) from Delta Agency and Mr. Arif
    Sheikh (9867045837) and barred the services on these three illicit numbers by
    asking to fail the verification. This only leads to one thing that my
    documents provided to Bhumika Enterprises were stealthily used to purchase 3
    sim cards in my name.

    This
    is a criminal act and the imaginable consequences are innumerable. Had these
    numbers not come for registration, I would have been held responsible for any
    illegal/ anti-social activity carried out using these numbers. All this just
    because airtel has given away its franchisee to small time pick- pockets. I humbly
    request airtel to disassociate its name from such dealers and maintain a tough
    stand against customer privacy abuse.

    Default Invasion of privacy

    I want an explanation on what gives airtel the rights to go through my personal call records and call other numbers on my record asking for me?

    I have been on roaming since feb 2012. My Feb and March bill were normal. However, the April and May bill shot up to 8000 for which no ones gives an explanation. To contact me now they have been calling other numbers on my records... This is unethical. I want an explanation for this. You have my mail address, anything that has to said to me can be said there. Instead people call up numbers on my records and threaten to send collection agents(hired goons) to disturb the original place of residence...

    I have decided that i will not pay till this debacle is cleared. I again ask what gives you the rights to go through my records? Is it like i am wanted criminal and the Govt. of India has issued a directive to you to go through my records for the safety of the nation?

    Stop your unethical practices. You have no right to check and talk to people on my call records.

    I want an explanation on this horrendous, non-humane methods employed by Airtel.
