Airtel Number Blocked Hello ,
I hope you guys are doing fine. My number 9680254254 which was in use for last 3-4 years is now blocked because it was not in use for last 2 months.I think 2 months get completed on 14th June. This Number is from Pilani, Rajasthan.
On 1st or 2nd July I called a number 9950099500 which is airtel custome care number of Rajasthan where I was informed that my number is not issued to anyone else and I may be given custody of my number back if I call Nodal officer. I called the nodal officre the other day but his number was not reachable.I have also mailed him regarding the issue but no response from him.
My friend in Pilani who is continuously following up with the airtel office there, (from where my number was issued) got the information that the number has been activated and you might get the number.I would stress on the point that he has been to that office 5 times in the week which started from 2nd July.This Saturday they informed him that the number was re-issued on 5th July.
Now on 7th July, I got a call from the number 8800098347 , where some lady with a name Ravinder told me that number cannot be given as number was in activation phase from 30th June, but than after explaining her the whole thing she puts me on hold and tells that by Monday I will get the number as she will give her 100 %.
I need a few clarifications:
1. Why is there such contradiction in all the three sources above. One says it is re-issued on 5th July,while other says it is in activation phase on 30th June on the other hand customer care provider says you might get the number as it has not been re-issued (on 2nd July).
2. These people say that it is their policy that if some body doesn't use their number for 2 months than that number will be blocked. Tell me where have you mentioned that policy ?. Even if it is mentioned why a customer who was using the number for last 4 years (nearly 1500 days ) his number was blocked because of non -usage even not giving any prior intimation?
I think I have had enough with these customer care people , they are not at all helpful and today they have mailed me that it is 90 days my number is not in use ( which is a complete lie). Please look into the matter and let me know what to do.
