    Default Airtel would not stop allowing SMSes even after DND registration

    Hi,
    I had registered for DND a more than a month ago. I continue to receive messages, mostly from Airtel itself, who is my mobile provider. I complained to airtel this week, and they gave me a complaint number (44379131). Two days later, I got an SMS from airtel saying no action has been taken because the details were insufficient. I had very clearly given the two Airtel numbers (digitaltv and mobile) from which the most number of SMSes are sent to me.This is quite matching with the standard response the Airtel customer service is giving in this forum, that they do not have sufficient details, and they tried to contact the complainant, but could not reach etc. I suspect this is their standard delaying tactics in the hope that the complainant will not have the energy or time to follow up repeatedly.


    I tried to re-register for DND many times - got the same response that I am already registered for DND. So no way out there.


    I am listing the numbers from which I received SMSes in just this week. I guess I will have to take some drastic action to stop this irritating nonsense from Airtel.
