I am new member to Consumer Court, and I would like to bring to your notice the frauds made in day light by corporate giants like Reliance Infocom . How many of us are facing the problem of incorrect billing from Reliance Infocom or any other Cellular operator. Till date i was under the impression that Reliance Infocom Billing system is one of the best among other cellular operator but yesterday my eyes have opened and now i feel that people should scrutinize there bills with a magnifying glass, before paying up.
Yesterday when i saw my bill i was shocked to find that i was charged Rs 4 for sending SMS to 8243 service of Yahoo Mail Alert. Reliance Infocom has no Tie Up with 8243 service then how come they
charge a customer for the same, i had called the customer executive when i did not receive any response from the 8243 service, the executive said me that since Reliance Infocom has no tie up with
8243 service you won't be charged despite the message being sent. So based on the same issue i called up the customer executive who called herself as Ms Shraddha, i told her the whole scenario and requested her to take my complaint, to my surprise she refused to take down my complaint simply saying that its my fault that I had sent sms to 8243 , message has been delivered from Reliance side and reliance infocom do not have the tie up so whether I receive any response or not is not there problem. We have charged you correctly.
Paying Rs 4 is not an issue when I have paid more than Rs 95,000 /- towards my Reliance mobile bills, Issue is how can a Corporate dictate there terms arbitrarily on the customers.
What is TRAI and Telecom Ministry doing?
Why are we suffering?
How should one cope up with this problem?
Regards
God Bless Us
