Hi,
I have bought a blackberry BOLD from Airtel (distributor-USHA International, Noida) costing 35000 INR on 28th March 2009.
It has been only 7 months and i have problem with the trackball, keypad is peeling off, bezel is loosing its color.
I have visited the Airtel cusotmer care service centre 'N' no of times and they have told me that the trackball will be changed under the warrant however i need to pay the cosmetic refurbishment charges if i need to get my keypad and bezel rectified.
If they are treating me like this what about those who might have bought an average phone from them. I have seen number of blackberry forums where in people had same problems but their service provider AT&T, Verzon etc have covered this cosmetic refurbishment under the warranty period.
Why Airtel is running away from this or why blackberry in India do not want to cover the same problem under warranty.
I request you to please guide me how to take this forward.
I have bought the most expensive handset from blackberry and still within 6 months i am facing so many problems. Whats the point of warranty then?
