I have purchased one Dell Mobile phone model xcd 28 from M/s Vasavi communications.,T nagar, Chennai for Rs.8,200/- on Date 16/02/2011 (Bill enclosed) vide invoice no 74576 with IMEI NO.355280040072448 and with warranty for one year from the date of Purchase.
Whenever receiving the calls the instrument was getting automatically switched off due to technical defects in the said instrument. The said new instrument is of no use, as it is found having technical defect like the instrument was automatically getting switched off and unable to receive any the incoming calls as the connection automatically gets cut off .I have purchased the mobile set with the hope of getting the benefit out of it without any trouble. But after 3 months it is not functioning properly and even today it has become a useless set.Dell authorised service center had kept the mobile set for 21 days(27th sep 2011 to 17th oct 2011) and replaced the mobile phone back after getting the same rectified with IMEI no355280040107681 on 27thsep 2011. Thereafter i used the mobile set for about 10 days but again same fault developed . I have approached Dell authorised service center and requested the technical person to change the mobile set once again . Dell service center again took the phone from the me and assured me that they will get the phone changed . Dell service center kept the mobile for about 34 days(10th dec 2011 to 12th jan 2012) for the second time and after repeated requests and visits, the mobile was replaced with IMEI no 355280040008699 . The mobile set worked for 1 day and the same problem occurred for third time. And again I have lodged my mobile with Dell service center to rectify the persisting problem on 19th jan,2012 and replaced on the same day with IMEI no 355820040105164. After 3 days, the mobile is not at all starting and hanging with Dell Logo and it is not getting charged. I became irate and gave the mobile to the authorised service center on 24th jan 2012. And I am not sure when they will replace with another piece.I have requested them to give temporary mobile during the delayed replacement. But they says no such practice in Dell. What ever i ask, the technical engineer says to contact customer care for clarrifications. This puts me in a difficult situation as my warranty expires on 16th feb 2012. And after the warrranty period, i have no option except to use it as paper weight or through it in dustbin.
I have kept 5 mails to the respective national head for telecom division, But it is surprise to see no reply towards the customer grievances. And I have put questions as follows --Explanation for1)Poor quality of technical service.
2)No courtesy to respond to the questions which i have placed as a customer.
3)No temporary replacement till the new mobile is handovered.
4)Cheap techniques by holding the mobile with your team to waste my warranty period.Dell customer care executive is telling without responsibility and negligent manners, he is helpless.The act and attitude on the part of the repairing team and Telecom product team of Dell shows that they have played an unfair trade practice over and made me to purchase the said instrument due to the brand name and blind belief in the Brand Dell.This sort of an act on the part of the Dell India private ltd definitely amounts to deficiency in service.By the act of the Dell service center, the I felt mental agony, harassment, hardship and pain and therefore I requested you to allow Dell India private ltd to pay compensation of reasonable amount for such a big company for deceiving the customer who blindly purchased because of the good trust in the company and its products and considering the facts reported.If any one can help me , i would be very happy.
