I bought a new Motorola V8 2GB mobile from The Mobile Store in Ansal Plaza on 3rd February, 2008.

The camera stopped functioning after five months usage just like that. The service center replaced the camera however the camera never worked after that also however to stay without phone is not an option I ignored the feature of camera not working as remaining in touch is more important a month back the phone started showing software program error and would not charge with the charger given instead I had to use the USB cable given along with it and charge it from the laptop.

As its my child's admission time so I kept on postponing the trip to service center as the phone would be gone for a week.

On 20th November the phone which initially only used to charge with USB for past one month stopped charging from USB as well and kept on getting off the moment any phone came.

I called the customer service center to report the problem however they told me to approach the service center near me.

I took it to the nearest service center.

They did not give me any update on the phone for four days. When today I called to find out whether my phone is repaired or replaced as the problem seemed to be there in the phone from the fifth month of usage.

They told me the phone had been wet from inside thus the chip needed to be changed and I would have to pay for it.

Till the morning of thursday I was making calls on that phone not even once has this phone been near any liquid as I keep it in my pocket while traveling or in the purse. The service center is trying to make an extra buck out of me.

I have tried escalating the matter to customer care till now I have got no resolution.

The problem they are saying is not covered under warranty however my problem is that the phone has six defects:
1. Not charging with charger
2. Screen is flickering from the first day of it being bought.
3. Camera stopped working from fifth month.
4. The battery only is good for 30 mins of talk time only even after full charge.
5. The call end button even if gently pressed turns the phone off and then it only turns on after putting it to charge that is with the USB cable.
6. The screen display is cut in two when you are dialing the number.

Please help me. I don't think I can afford to buy a new phone at this point all my money I am saving for my child's admission. And it very wrong of them to ask me to pay for repair as the phone is in warranty. Its a lie that the phone was wet from inside because it was working fine except for the problems it had all along.

Its like somebody had hypertension but that does not mean that the person was not breathing/living. Phone had problems/manufacturing defects still it was in use now they have made that also impossible.

Help.
